Nah dave, do a bit more research. labor aren't "blaming" kids, the numbers of Austism diagnosis have jumped massively since the NDIS came in, they're just looking at the eligibilty criteria rather than automatically gifting every family who's GP says their kid is in the spectrum $30k each year.

That guy who's Tweet you posted is a very unreliable source of news. Far right biased big time.

Agreed that they should look into the mobs rorting the system but that's not a real strength of either side of politics.

More than 8 percent of five- to seven-year-olds are now on the scheme, leading some experts to suggest that level 1 autism diagnoses in Australia have gradually disappeared and been replaced by level 2 diagnoses, which typically qualify for support.
“The [NDIS] was designed for people who need assistance with core functioning, with the most profound disabilities. I don’t think the scheme was ever intended just to say, ‘I have a diagnosis, therefore I’m on the scheme’,” Shorten said on Monday".
When so many people are using the system as a slush fund the Government's solution is to make it even harder to access.

The penalties for rorting aren't tough enough as it's treated as a soft crime and they prefer not to lock these types of people up in preference to more serious crimes. These crimes have to be treated as major crimes with minimum sentences and non-Australian Citizens deported after they have served their sentences.
