Can't get a game at tiggers, even when they started playing all those kids during the injuries to regular seniors; I reckon it's a stink-out, and they want him off the books for 2022.

It's us or the Roos for him I'd say...

Both 28.

Could come in handy while we wait for our young players to develop and mature.

We need to test Callum Brown big time next year as an inside mid. Has he got it in him to make it? He will answer this question next year.
If either Wallis or Caddy, as an extra reinforecement in the inside mid brigade, can be acquired for next to nothing, I would be happy.
But I think it is even more important to get an inside mid.
JDG is versatile, he goes in and also can receive, but we desperately need an outside mid with pace. Not sure if any 28 year olds with these characteristics are available.

Yeah he did not want to go, and fitness was cited as the reason for him being pushed out. Said he wants to get fit and prove a few people wrong. He’s super keen to hit the gym and track over the summer. I say take a punt.

Callum Brown should be delisted or traded. He simply isn’t good enough and doesn’t possess any elite feature in his repertoire let alone having anything required to be an inside mid.

If he wasn’t Gavins son he wouldn’t have even lasted this long on the list.

The whole scenario still doesn't make sense to me - why would tiggers usher him into retirement, if all along he wanted to continue elsewhere in 2022?
Why wouldn't they trade him for something, as opposed to retire/delist, which effectively nets the club absolutely zero?

Not sure if its been posted here before.
Did anyone else hear Ross Lyon' response on Footy Classified last week when asked the question about coaching Collingwood or Carlton ?? He answered by saying that Collingwood wasn't his preferred club and cited that there were Father and Sons at Collingwood as one of his reasons for not going with Collingwood ??
I thought that was very intriguing and a possible slight on our club. Did he mean there was favouritism?? eg the Browns.....or did he mean it was an on going theme that pops its ugly head up every couple years lately.
I wouldn't say Lyon is wrong in suggesting this bc who would want players not earning their spot on the list on merit ??

Hoult would be perfect for bringing his experience to Collingwood and becoming a valuable contributor and therefore this won’t happen because Collingwood have been making bloody dumb decisions over the past two seasons. I have zero confidence in Collingwood making this wise choice and letting yet another opportunity slip by

Houli is well over 30 and not needed at the Pies. It would be utterly dumb to bring in a pensioner when we're looking at rebuilding. You'd only look at him if you had a young list challenging for the 8, that's not us.

Varcoe was a waste in the last couple years. If we want to climb back up the ladder we need to dispense with players who are only going to give us a couple of year’s service. We should have learned that lesson with Daniel Wells.

Like the idea or two hardened 28 year olds. Especially Wallis. Would thrive away from the dogs.

Here’s one on Twitter (if that can be trusted).
Jack Silvani not happy with the offer he has to stay at Carlton

Rumour (or fact) that Collingwood has reached out to Jacks management
