While we're desperate for a forward, happy we didn't go after Schache, looked lost out there last night.

Last night's match has become secondary.

Everyone is talking about Beveridge's post match presser. I assume a massive fine is coming his way from the AFL?

That handpass he attempted and stuffed up in front of goal was horrific.

Pies4shaw wrote:It wasn't ever really a likely option, though, was it? The previous administration mostly didn't use high picks on forwards. Stephenson was selected to be a mid and happened to be a skilled goalkicker. Generally, we spent a decade trying to turn cast-offs and low draft picks into KPFs. This is why we had players like Q-Lynch, Jesse White etc and now sport a forward line containing Mihocek and Cox and/or Cameron.
The greatest surprise of all is that Kreuger was recruited as a CHF and he actually looks like a CHF. I don't know what the club was thinking - they must have been caught out in a moment of weakness, or someone told the club that Kreuger is a mid.

^ Or the value placed upon KPFs by the present administration is different from that placed upon them by the former administration.

Beat me to it - that hopeless one-on-one effort against Ed Langdon summed Schache up, really.

I actually like Bevo, an good on him for what he said. These Fox journos work for Murdochs mob, Foxtel, ambulance chasers, scuttlebutt merchants, and liars, just like the Murdoch media itself. Fox, where the truth goes to die, just like the newspapers. :P

We'll see...

But the only thing I can see being finable is leaving the presser early. e.g. You can be fined for not showing up. It's not voluntary! But you can't be fined for being grumpy.

Of course, there's also the catch-all, "bringing the game into disrepute"... Bit of a stretch applying that here, I reckon.

................................................

Err... Update... Bevo has apologised:

https://www.afl.com.au/news/720325/beve ... as-not-ok-

And the article says this:

"After discussions with the AFL and senior club officials, it was also determined that the Bulldogs donate $20,000 to youth mental health organisation Orygen."

There were injury clouds pre-game... but no late changes.

"... the feel-good story of the game is the return of inspirational leader Sam Docherty, back from a second recurrence of testicular cancer."
