Can go 4 games clear in top 2 after only what, 13 rounds?! Unreal.

We could if we beat Melbourne.

Though, Brisbane and St Kilda would have a game in hand having had their byes last week.

Freo has just fallen out of the picture totally. Unable to defeat Richmond with its very significant home ground advantage is proof enough that they are not going to be in contention.

Definitely would not rule out for them a position in lower half of eight. Definitely think they could take the position of either Essendon or the Bulldogs.

Tough ask tho they play saints next bye then play brisbane at the Gabba win those 2 then a sneaky chance of 7th or 8th.
Still think they are 1 lose away from them thinking of 2024
It’s also where they are on the ladder is a real log jam as well

Essendon are one of those sides that seem to match up well against us and have caused us real problems the last 3 times we've met.

Should we meet in September it'll be a real danger game.

They've got spirit, speed and now under Scott substance.

same for a draw and I $$%^%%$ hate the umpires pets
Not really. IIRC we're about 20 pp ahead of them, so a draw wouldn't've really given more space.
Jezza wrote:Brisbane's poor MCG record will prevent them from any having premiership success.

They've only recorded 1 win out of their last 14 at the MCG.
Yes. And Sydney, but they have bigger problems --- just making finals.

So our win against Sydney was really pretty poor.

Our round 2 win against them is ageing like fine wine.
I think that's putting a positive spin on things!

What other spin could you sensibly put on flogging them by 12 goals?
