Great job David. Steele and Pendles did well again, with Steele coming home with a rush. Great to see both going on next year. Josh has been a revelation since Nick joined the team - hard to figure how much of an impact that has had.

When Nick gives his acceptance speech is he expected to wear a tuxedo?

Great year by Cameron. And, yet again, top 5 finishes for our two greatest players this century.

Thanks for your time and effort on this count, David.

Congratulations to Nick on a great win. Its good to see Darcy and Josh as place getters too.

Congratulations to N Daicos.

Great effort by Cameron to finish in the top 2. Pendles and Sidebottom still polling well despite their ageing profiles.

Surprised to see Billy Frampton finish in the top 10.

David wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2024 9:11 amCongratulations again to Nick Daicos on his second Gavin Brown Medal! I’ll have to check, but I’m pretty sure his 86 votes is the highest tally any player has ever received in this.
Can confirm this now, by the way! Here are the best results in the history of the medal:

1. Nick Daicos 86 (2024)
2. Brodie Grundy 78 (2018)
3. Dayne Beams 64 (2012)
4. Jack Crisp 61 (2021)
Nick Daicos 61 (2023)

If we were to adjust tallies from the 3-2-1 by percentage of vote share, Dane Swan's 32 votes in 2010 would probably come in second (roughly equivalent to 80 votes in a 5-4-3-2-1 format). What makes Daicos's total this year even more remarkable is that he did it in a year in which we didn't play finals; Swan, Grundy and Beams played in seasons where we played 26, 26 and 25 matches respectively.
