I've been critical of his decion making in the past but he has matured BIG-TIME.

I said pre season he could be an All Australian contender, and was basically laughed at.

He was our best attacking defender late last season, and has now taken that to another level by improving his one on one defensive ability.

He is basically the perfect modern day CHB.

Reid has been one of my favourites since he came to the club, and it's hilarious how he is now playing with the player we gave away to get him, Chris Tarrant.

No one trades like Freo.

I used to get so frustrated at posts on this board about him after a few games in the ones, as a very young forward early on.
I watched a fair amount of him in the vfl when I was in vic, as a key defender and knew we had a beauty.
most were posting without seeing what he was doing in the vfl.
This subject was the reason I originally tried to get on Nicks.
His form, and as Tannin has said his attack on the ball is without question.
He was exceptional in the final series and I reckon he is clearly all australian std this year.

would love his bro at the club but all reports have him very happy in syd.

It's the right matchup.

His bro looks a very similar player too - a good strong mark. And, judging from his kicking last week (1.5 in the first half), a move back would be a good thing for him also. He was named rising star for last round too.

On Ben: Yes. Should be AA based on form to this point in the season. Look out though, I could see them giving it to Harry Taylor instead .
Well done boys!

Ben Reid - not so much a rumour any more

There's a rumour that Ben Reid strained his hamstring at training.
