Yep I think this is a v good time to blood Pendlebury. Even if he doesn't do so well, it will be great for his development - give him a taste of the AFL level so he has a 1st hand idea of what to aim for if he goes back to Willi, so it'd be good for fasttracking his development.
It would be excellent if he was up to speed in time for the finals this year, we need a bit more midfield class. Yet another classy midfielder or 2 would also be a great help - eg Egan hopefully can hit top form by the finals. I hear Cook and Stanley are coming up fast and Yakka threatening also. And of course Rhyce. I suspect Rhyce and Heater will be like the old Galaxian game - 2 rockets together are much more powerful than the sum of their parts.

I suspect that Pendles won't get a game until one of our on-ballers plays a shocker or gets injured. With our current mid-field in such good form, it doesn't really matter what Pendles does, he's unlikely to get promoted. However, he's jumped to the head of the queue for promotion - ahead of Davies, Rowe, Egan and even Rhyce. It's just a matter of time, who knows maybe he'll get the nod tomorrow night.

Mmmm... O'Brien officaly off the list makes Pendlebury an easy selection - I hope. Pendlebury stands at 190cm, shocked to read that, along with Lonie he would easily be our tallest midfielder, like a Jobe Watson but with actual skill, I can't wait any longer. Malthouse better pick him tommorow or I might cry

Has played well off Half-back for Willi too. Very versatile player. Wing, HB, HF, Ruck Rover or even in a forward pocket.Magpie Since 1986 wrote:Mmmm... S.Pendlebury = 5x named in best , 27 disposals followed by 32 disposal B.O.G , classy evasive mover who has excellent vision and disposal who can get the ball in both congestion and open space.
But with our excellent midfield we don't need him.
Go Figure.
What more can the kid do?
Edit : I know he isn't likely to come in and dominate but gee you have to feel for him , it's a wonder he doesn't get his head down thinking what more he has to do. If he plays shit this week you will know why even Gotchy admitted he is starting to get a little frustrated about not getting a go.
