I'm probably one of the few that has never seen the office apart from bits and pieces over time.

I did see extras which i enjoyed.

However with this show it's unmistakable that Gervais is a genius.

Gervais delivers a spot on performance as the mildly handicapped Derek, a character you'll just love and somehow he manages to deliver a comedy that has a sweet nature at it's core but still feels fresh and different to anything that I've seen before.

It's not a show that's full of in your face comedy it's much more clever and subtle than that (well apart from Kev) but there is something so endearing and uplifting about it that makes you wish you were one of the patients in the nursing home.

Special mention should also be given to Karl from an idiot abroad fame in his acting debut.

When I see him I feel like he would be what you would get if you mixed me, 5150, what'sinaname, DTM and Tannin all in a blender.

He is either one of the most naturally hilarious, different and whacky people alive or is playing us all for fools and Karl Pilkington is simply a character he plays.

I thinks it's the former.

Hopefully another season to follow soon.

Sooner than you think! Full second season available on Netflix September 12th.

Glad you liked it swoop. It's a great show. I'm surprised it took 6 months to air here, and even then it's buried away at 10pm on a Thursday night.

Is that the second season or season one on Netflix?

I was of the understanding that season one was yet to be shown in America.

I downloaded it from Kickass. Your secret is safe with me. :wink:

Middle Class Bogan isn't as bad as it sounds on ABC1 on Thursday nights. And It's a Date that follows it is bloody hilarious!
