Not really... I blame wiki!! Regardless its a risky deal imo (due to age, mainly at cost).
It's why you never use Wikipedia as a source for much.
Everything is a risk in the end, I would have signed him for 2, with the option of a third if he performed well. I guess they know what they are doing. Anyway we will see in the end.

Honestly, he may be good for us but its a big big risk.
Played 19 games in 2016 alone, get your facts right if you are going to post.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Wells_(footballer)
tell them to get their facts straight
And maybe you should post less mooretreloar lmfao
Played 31 games in the last 3 years including 19 in 2016, averages over 17 a year across 14 seasons.

Analysis one o one, remove the bottom 2 & highest 2 then average it out, probably closer to 20 per season

What about this scenario for an unrestricted free agent...The player has had talks with the club he wants to go to and has already has agreed in-principle to the contract terms. His manager then proceeds to "put out there" inflated contract figures to scare off other clubs, and to make it seem he is leaving his current club because of a much better deal, when in fact it's not that much more.
Is this feasible? Or do the contract details have to be made public? Of course this theory wouldn't apply to a restricted free agent because the original club is given the option of matching the contract offered by the new club.

Why is that a consideration?
I'm just happy we have someone else like. Pendles that can get the ball out of the middle and run with it, and hit a target.
By the clip earlier in the thread he just about beat us of his own boot this year!

I still have nightmares.
He did it in about 12 minutes.

Because indigenous guys have exquisite ball skills, that's a big consideration, ala leon davis.

Found this longer analysis video on Daniel Wells. Wish I could find something like this on every prospective player! Would make the lull before cricket season a bit more tolerable.

I'm looking forward to having him. I was at the North game this year and thought it was a good move to have him line up against Pendles who can sometimes be slow to adjust to his direct opponent getting off the leash (hardly happens as they are usually worrying about him.)

It will be great if he goes well to remind Filth fans as he was one of the ones they missed out on with their salary cap scam.

Just spoke with a relative of Daniel Wells. She said the deal has been done and he is now a Pies player. She said he will wear number 3 for us. I welcomed her to the Magpie Army!

I hope this trades happens quicker than the Treloar trade last year (which was also meant to have been a done deal prior to trade week starting).

Should be considerably easier/quicker. With Treloar we had to meet halfway with GWS on a trade, with Wells it's as simple as him deciding we are where he wants to be.
