People can make allegations for many reasons, but unless proven in a court of law or other tribunal it is just an allegation and the legal principle of "innocent until proven guilty" applies

Because Kavanaugh was going to tilt the Supreme Court conservative, his nomination was something that every leftist was railing and fighting against. There were attempts to smear him or find scandals from the moment he was nominated. The tactic then became to delay his nomination in hopes of taking the Senate in the mid terms.
Instead they found a man of impeccable character who had consistently hired female law clerks and sent a record number of female lawyers to clerk with Supreme Court justices. Even liberal women considered him a Mentor.
There were 4 accusers and 2 of them have been referred by to the FBI/Department of Justice for prosecution for making false statements. None of Christine Blasey Ford's allegations were found to have ANY corroborating evidence. The fourth accuser admitted she made it up because she didn't want him confirmed for political reasons.
Having a vagina doesn't instil a person with magical qualities of honesty or honour, people lie about all sorts of things for all sorts of reasons, Men and Women. Stop putting women on a pedestal and look at things objectively.

To match Obama's numbers Trump will need to get to about 118 by the end of his current term, my guess is 131 by November 2020. Perhaps we should run a poll on it and see who gets closest.

Imagine if Congress had passed a few of the gun control proposals before them during the Obama administration. Then, perhaps, Trump might have gotten to oversee a lower mass shooting rate.
