I Went To Church!

Post by Hiss »

I am still celebrating and will continue to do so through January with bigs nights each friday and saturday. I am having a party soon to celebrate the 1958 flag as well. I went to that.
I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for.

Just watched the replay for the umpteenth time.

Still can't believe it and I still get nervous when the Saints kick a goal.

Pathetic, isn't it! Gotta love it.

Don't know why, but on the drive in to work this morning I suddenly thought "we won the premiership".

I got all tingly and my eyes welled up........ again :)

I watched the DVD 3 times before heading off to Thailand on 12th Oct.
Watched it on the plane (portable dvd player :D )
Watched it 3 times in Thailand.

Every time I watch it, when the final siren sounds, I get sooo emotional.
Need to watch it again I think .

Thank you Collingwood.

There is no way we will forget that Collingwood won the Grand Final.Everywhere I look in my house there are pictures on the walls. :) :D  My daughter couldn't believe I relegated a framed collage of my kids to a little corner so I could put my Framed Team poster up.
As I explained" They are my boys too"

Oh and anyone passing my house can see my home made Side by Side ' banner, which is hanging from my balcony...BE PROUD AND LOUD

Yesterday, driving home after picking up my daughter from school, I was in the left lane & trying to merge right, when I noticed the 4wd beside me had a CFC sticker.
Being warm, he had all his windows down & I found myself yelling out "GO PIES!"
He looked around smiled at me & nodded, then I called out "oh look there's another one."
The car in front of him also had a CFC sticker.
Guy in 4wd turns around to me & yells out "WE'RE EVERYWHERE...!"

So bloody true. WE ARE THE 2010 PREMIERS & I can't stop saying it!
WE WERE ROBBED, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, RIGHT IN FRONT OF MEEE!

N.Y METS, N.Y GIANTS, PENRITH PANTHERS & HOBART HURRICANES FAN.

WE ALL LOOK GOOD AT TRAINING, IT'S THE MATCHES THAT COUNT!

I think it's the rest of the football world that are finding it hard to accept that we have won the flag. I'm still getting all the anti Collingwood crap forwarded to my inbox.

Back to Back, please God.

Having been at the game, I watched the DVD for the first time last Wednesday. Bloody magnificent. So much not noticed when sitting on level four in the Members. Paused at half time and emailed my kids, who were all at the game, "geez we were bloody good". Young Geelong supporter at work I hadn't seen since the big day so I said to him "Aren't you gonna congratulate me ?" "What have you done ?" he said ... "It's not what I've done mate, the Mighty 'Pies". "Oh Yeah" and went on to moan about Geelong's poor effort in the Prelim. You always come across someone you haven't seen since the big day and have a gloat, yet few of them seem inclined to give us any credit. They will next year when we go back-to-back.

P.S.

Hey Hiss - I had the feeling I was the only one on this site who saw the 1958 grand final. albeit on TV as a kid down at Moe. Still have my uncle's 1958 social club medallion, a prized possession, cherished always but more so at the moment. The celebrations continue ....

It's a result I'll be dining out on for the rest of the offseason - at least until 2011 gets underway.

With the other team I am absolutely fanatical for, the Dallas Cowboys, playing like absolute dog manure in the first few weeks of the NFL season, my favorite saying has become "Thank God for Collingwood!".

What a team. What a performance. And there's plenty more where that came from.
I, for one, welcome our new black and white overlords

My Mark Knight premiership poster is in the front window and assaults anyone coming up the drive.. my wife said it's like Xmas and you have to take it down in a month and I argued it stays up until someone else wins a flag.. back me up here guys

I agree, they all stay up while we are the reigning premiers.
