Choose you group...
Sad Saacks like the one I belong to.
"perceptive fellow" like Lazza.
The Neutrals like what Think Positive belong to.

But you seem to be in a position where you can argue with any group,
which is strange.
I have you pegged as a "perceptive fellow".
So find yourself a mentor ( try Jackcass ...he doesn't like me )
and build up your allies.
Remember the Sad Saacks like me are your natural enemy.
The sad saacks like the Cloke saga because it
proves that Bux is a dud.
There you are, lots of material there for you to work on
And note WPT is everybodies mate.
And here is an interesting question.
Why do I spell it sad saacks and not with it's proper spelling?
Why the hell should people need to choose a group?

Just because people don't believe Buckley shouldn't be sacked now doesn't mean they're all sunshine and lollypops, nor does thinking he should be make them all pessimistic 1 song tr0lls.

I don't get the need to label people into a category, most of us have varied opinions depending on the subject. I'd be very surprised if all those who self identified as members of the unhappy scrotum brigade all agreed on everything, so IMHO it's a juvenile and stupid exercise to try to perpetuate these labels.

Right, his kicking is so bad it keeps him from the HOF. Not at all. He was an average kick for most of his career at around 59% (worse early). That's around the same as T.Walker and Franklin. It's not his kicking that would keep him out of the HOF.
Without a doubt it will. In my view for around 3 seasons, he was the best player in the comp, but was never thought of that way. Rightly or wrongly, his legacy will be that he was a bad kick. If you speak to a non Collingwood person re Cloke 99 times out of 100, that is the 1st thing out of their mouth.
Well, like on a lot of things those non-Collingwood supporters would be wrong ;).

Agree to disagree. I dislike labels because they usually generalise and force fit people into a category that they often don't fit. Some people like the labels, I don't and It grinds me when people do try to label me. That's just me.

Cloke has been a really good player at Collingwood, but I understand moving him on, also understand the Dogs interest. Even in the flag winning team they struggle to mark inside 50, Boyds best work was up the ground. I'm sure he wouldn't be going there if Redpath was fit, but it's understandable. I guess we only saw the Cloke of old in the GWS game, 4 goals and about a dozen marks, in a great win. I've always liked him and kind of still rate him, but I'm probably just being nostalgic

Would have loved Trav to be a one club player but alas, not to be.

I reckon he was going to be delisted next year regardless - which would have meant he would exit the list with no compo.

Any pick is better than none.

In saying that, I'd be surprised if we get better than the 5th rounder Doggies have already flagged.

Probably spot on. Another poster suggested we try and get Honeychurch for him, sounds like a great idea, seemed a pretty good player when in the ones this year.

Cloke will star ... in the Dogs VFL team. Only a bit player in the ones
