I thought it was very interesting that during the commentary on Saturday night, Bucks gave Johnno a huge rap, saying that when Johnno plays well the team almost always wins. Some players - Rocca is another - can almost act as a barometer for the performance of the whole team. One thing for sure, I have never seen Johnno looking as fit. With he, Clark and Heater running off the backline, our defence becomes a very attacking line indeed.

Dont forget Harry, who seem's to have an ability to find himself attacking through the middle regularly....

Well said Rudeboy could not agree more and Bucks is correct there.(of course)

Johnno looked like a born again... sharp as ..and those goals he kicked were Johnno of old. Looking forward to a big one from Ben this year.

Nice little article there Dave.

I've loved Ben Johnson his whole career, and have always seen him as one of the few players we have had that could be relied upon to shut down a player when we needed him too.

I've hated he way he has been treated by many on this board and on other forums, because the man typifies everything that is great about Collingwood.

Ben Johnson is truly one of those players that bleed black and white, and no matter what happens from now on, he and we can say;

BEN JOHNSON, COLLINGWOOD PREMIERSHIP PLAYER. :D

It's always heartwarming when a guy gets to play for the side he has loved his whole life. To be a premiership hero against the odds is wonderful for him (and us)

I hope my response went through OK Dave, you have a great talent, your words & ideas thoughtfully put together. I loved the metaphor, brilliantly drawn on. Wish Benno gets to read it!

Really, really good mate. Good job.

I'm a big Johnno fan. This does him great justice

Funny how Johnno and Swan (2 best mates of tarrants) careers excelled after his dismissal.

Now all I hope is they both do not go backwards. This is why I see recruiting Taz a risky move.

Hope it does not pan out this way.

Johnno finished second in the Copeland in 2004 and 2006, when Tarrant was around. Swan's breakout year was 2006, when Tarrant was around.

I reckon it'll go the other way - I reckon BJ will be pumped to have his old mate back and they will push each other in their quest to become premiership team mates

same with Swanny...these guys are all older wiser and their own men now Including Taz - peer group pressure is gone

How about that. Do you mean you are finished talking?
