I’m so glad this all over and he’s finally signed,or re- signed in this case.

Kudos to 5.11 pm,whose information about this was impeccable again. He seems to know more about what’s going on at the club than most of the so called experts in the media, like Tom Browne,

Yesterday afternoon Tom Browne said on the radio that Collingwood was quietly confident of re- signing Degoey, then a few hours later on 7 news he said St Kilda was firming as favourites to sign DeGoey.

Credit to the Club and Jordy for not biting at attempts from the media to spin some sort of contro with this negotiation.

Jordy signing was never in doubt. He just had to come back from holiday, meet with the club and sort it.

Upon hearing the news this morning how many Collingwood supporters immediately had the same two thoughts running through their mind?

1. This is great.

2. Please don't stuff up.

TBH, I had thought 1 running through my mind, but not thought 2.

Why not?
Actually, not sure...however I think that now he has signed up with us for the long haul, it might be a very significant stablising factor for him. He knows now that this is where his game is at.
Prediction: JDG will NOT stuff up this preseason. He will come back to the preseason in elite physical shape.

Thank mercy for that. The last thing a team short of a gun midfielder could do was lose a gun midfielder.
