No excuses! For christ sake a gf was up for the winner. Itwas a good effort to make to the prelim but hell not much of a yelp from a number of players. The only player who tried to take them on was harry. You cant win with static play! 2points wellers attitude stinks trade him if any one will have him and i remember a thread that i started earlier this year sinclair or seedsman tonite sinclair was woeful. I hope buckley stamps his authority on this lot over the preseason because i think there is some slack attitudes and some players who really are not up to it
we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.

Cry, why?
Just not good enough, get over it!
I'll say it again, I will not criticise anyone at Collingwood tonight. So proud of them for the way they handled the week. The kids have been to hell and back. Collingwood lives to fight another season. Poor JMac is dead. Can't get any clearer perspective on the loss than that.
So spare a thought for players that are hurting tonight. The Collingwood club is rightly in mourning. Footy means nothing right now. As Donny says, it's only a game after all.

Sayonara season 2012, could say many negatives but won't. Wish list for 2013:
1) No more #%#$#% injuries to key players
2) A less predictable game plan, we were supposed to go through the corridor this year and it never really happened and when we did try it we got slaughtered because of our poor kicking
3) Much improved foot skills, our field kicking was woeful this this year
4) Cloke to sign
5) Swan to start tackling again or at least applying defensive pressure
6) A back up ruckman, who can allow Dawes to go back to being a forward, so we can decide if he's decent or not and not always rationalise his performances on the basis of a the ruck role.
7) Wellingham & Sidebottom to become more consistent
Luke Ball to play every single game
9) and most importantly to never have games umpired by Schmidt, Stevic or Meredith cause they love arse raping us to the max
Not much to wish for but I'm hoping that Santa will bring me these presents for being such a good boy all year.

Sad we finished like this but even totally spent we didn't know how to give in meekly.
Reload for next year. Witts needs to make his mark, Yagmoor's skills need to be utilised, Luke Ball needs to be our Cameron Ling and Clokey needs to be this clubs marquee player and bedrock (100 goals is in his capabilities) and if that happens we contest flags, no worries.

You have up your membership and have boasted about it. You are just a fan. Lots of hot air and no substance. I do not appreciate your brand of support.ANNODAM wrote:Stop crying people, just not good enough in the end!

What kind of brand of support would you have? Try putting that in a more specific context. You? Who else is part of the Black White Army - 24 hrs a day 365 days of the year he or she will support them to the day they plant him or her are?Member 7167 wrote:You have up your membership and have boasted about it. An injury riddled pre-season.
4 ruptured ACLs.
A bitter ex-coach brawling with the president in the full glare of the media.
A star player and his lunatic manager/father turning a contract negotiation into a bad soap opera.
A new coach in his first year.
37 players out of 48 at the club utilized.
2 rookies pressed into senior duties.
Injuries to players each week, seemingly without relent.
Other players out of form.
A gameplan that has been worked out.
The media savaging us like they never have before.
Every 2-bit commentator writing us off.
Umpires finding new ways to screw us over.
A club-imposed suspension to a champion player in our midfield.
A death in the family.
And still, still, we made it to a preliminary final.
I am sad. I am hurt.
But in the face of all of that, I am still proud of our boys, our club and all that we have managed to achieve this year.
Recover and re-load for next year, Collingwood.
This magpie will be with you again when the ball is bounced again in 2013...

+1. The boys gave it their all. Considering the week that they have had they did well to get up for the game. Lets reload for next year and give it a good shake. Sad end to what's been a very trying year. It's been the year from hell, really.Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. The players were clearly spent tonight and had nothing left to give. You could tell from almost the start of tonight's game that they weren't going to win. They just had nothing left in the tank. They did well to get so far,and to fight out the game.
It's upwards and onwards for next year now.Hopefully we can have an injury free year, and make some improvement to our list to make it better. And winning that first final and getting the two week break is absolutely essential.I think it was the difference between winning and losing tonight.
