Now THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT!
That was the hardest, toughest, most desperate effort I've seen since the 2010 Prelim, yes, it has been that long.
Swanny, absolutely magnificent with your desperation, where has that been all year mate? So many desperate contests made by so many. Blair, Sinclair, Dwyer, Kraks, Swan, Pendles, Thomas, Bally, Sidey, Cloke, Caff, hell, the whole lot of them were maniacs. We want to see more of that. Bring that every week and we may even take down the big fish!
Vastly improved effort. Thanks god we gave it against the scum.

Another doubter here. On exposed form I expected Carlton to get up so just picked the Pies by 1pt. But the great thing about footy is what's between the ears can have as big an impact as the physical. After last week, all plaudits for Bucks for coaxing this game out of the players and the also to the players for having the pride to perform.
Still not sure if we just had a bad quarter or they had a good quarter to kick off. In any case, what followed was a bottler. Loved our desire and hardness but we can't afford to let a better team start and finish better.
In the meantime, I'll be living off this win for the next week. The Cammy was pumping tonight.

I hope Witts is retained in the team even if he keeps Lynch out he showed a bit tonight. I loved the pickup on the half volley when the ball was at his ankles he looks so good below the knees. Just imagine what sort of footballer this guy will become in a few years time.

How good was that?
Williams, Sinkers, Reid, Cloke, Pendles, Swanny et al well done. Could go on with the players, but they all stood up when required this week.
From feeling so down at the start, to feeling so good as we won the game. What a roller coaster.
Nothing sweeter than a game like that against the scum.
I'd be happy to continue with the structure we used tonight, provided we can cover Reid down back. When is Keefe due back?

Hold my hands up as an absolute, abject doubter. 28 points down thought the white flag was up - was very unhappy to say the least...another terrible defeat in this vanilla, bland season...
However, at that point, I looked at Malthouse and thought of his treatment of Buckley. I thought of the Barretts, Ralphs and Stevens of this world flying desperately hanging outside the Westpac Centre. I thought of Fat Robbo and the Nerd launching into a week of 360. I thought of cutting back to McClure "chortling fatly"...
And I thought, nah, stuff the doubts, time to support, properly, on this night.
Not tonight, no negatives tonight, everyone can get stuffed on nights like this...we are Collingwood. Hope the players continue to remember it...

Loved that. I was very cranky early but we worked through it and bent them over.
Marley Williams is a mini tank. Love the kid
Reid must play forward, get Keeffe in to CHB next week.
Witts, getting there my boy, nice work, good game, keep working at it
Blair, attack dog. A bull terrier with the speed of a kelpie.
Great start to a weekend, beating Carlton.
