Apparently Sam Weideman, grandson of Murray and son of Mark is a handy CHF for the Eastern Ranges. Unfortunately he isn't eligible as a F/S.

I'd rather grab Lever from Adelaide, Petracca from Melbourne, and Cockatoo from the Cats.
I actually think there's a chance Nakia Cockatoo will turn out to be the best player taken in this year's draft. We should have some idea in 2-3 years I guess. Hopefully the Iceman comes on as Hine expects.
Yep, him and Lever for mine.

Not suggesting that either Moore, DeGoey, or Maynard won't be very good footballers, just think those 2 were the high risk, high reward types that will come on.

I'm now very pleased. Tough, good sizes & mostly great kicks / disposers of the footy.

Looking forward to the new season.

I have a dream.

A dream that this draft is eventually seen as a super draft and much like Geelong of a what a decade or more ago now garner 5 or 6 future premiership stars in the one draft year.

I'm excited by this years crop of tall, versatile, aggressive, unflinching and talented players who mostly possess above average foot skills.

It's certainly a year to nail our selections with those types added to our mix.
