Half the team were crap.Clifton Hill-Billy wrote:Why all the love for Moore, sure he was great for the first 1.5 quarters then his disposal turned to crap and he cost us goals on multiple occasions?
Don't even get me started on Mayne, C. Brown, Maynard and Noble. All of these players owe Jez as he did his knee for nothing because of their ineptitude!
Wills disappeared in the last half.
Must send him a magician package.

I really think we lost that one ourselves, , rather than Giants beating us, we beat ourselves, shocking kicking for goal, and Maynards howler. Cancel out his clustercluck and we win, simple as that. But we really cant miss set shots like we did, its heartbreaking, deflates the whole team. bigtime. I look forward to playing these pricks on the G oneday soon, we can learn a lot from this loss.

It’s quite laughable. 1st half our mids couldn’t get their hands on it. Then in the last when the ball was camped inside our forward 50 our forwards couldn’t get near it. Stevo did nothing after the first 20 mins. Elliot no impact. C Brown can’t be trusted from anything beyond 30. Need players that are clean at ground level in F50.
Then 3 brain farts cost us dearly in the 2nd half.

Sorry, Moore well ahead despite his horrid kick tonight which cost us a goal.eddiesmith wrote:Played rd 1 actually and was quite good. Came good tonight by the last, will be better for the run.Piesnchess wrote:Haff wrote:Let DeGoey go and throw the kitchen sink at Cameron. Cox just isn’t up to it.
Bit harsh, first game back for many months, last august i think, i can cut him some slack, its Maynards brain fart that haunts me, that was just a shocker, plus our set shots for goal too.
But given he is the only player on our list who can take a big mark up forward, he should be pretty safe. Often comes good in the last qtr of close games as players tire.
JDG just doesn’t do enough.
Maynard effort on Green was putrid. Cost us the game.
The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after.

We handed them how many goals on a platter? Deplorable. Our set shot goal kicking is embarrassing. We have Cox and Mihocek. The rest have Cameron, Lynch, Kennedy, Riewoldt, et al. As horrible (HORRIBLE) as we played, we should have won. Figure that out. Anyway, with no reliable forward line and Howe done for the rest of the season, and maybe forever, this season is DONE.
We’ve won two games from four. Hardly premiership favourites.

FFS so negative. We obviously didnt fold like a deck of cards, lost by 2 points. We drew against last year's Premiers... not just "some team". I am bitterly disappointed but this loss does not justify your rant. The main thing is Jeremy Howe. I hope to God this injury is not a severe one. If his ACL is done, then that is a massive blow for us.Monco Matt wrote:Unfortunately we are starting to develop a reputation as flat track bullies.
Top sides lean on us and we fold like a deck of cards. Beat the Dogs in a game of round 1 covid-19 contact free basketball, escape with a draw against a top side after shitting the bed for 3 quarters, smack a mid-table saints side who have no idea what they're doing and now lose via horrible turnovers and goal kicking choking to a top side who applied 4 qtr pressure. These are gamestyle pathways that don't fill you with confidence that we will stand up at the pointy end of the year no matter how you want to explain it, sugar-coat it or excuse it.
We should have won that game against a contender but found a way to lose again. At no stage did I think we would, there is no 'eye of the tiger' so to speak of in this playing group.
A very frustrating football team we have here.

Jeremy Howe, hope u recover soon.
Poor effort. Lost it between the ears. Self inflicted. The Brown brothers are just not good enough.
Poor match by Elliott, Stephenson for 3/4’rs, Cox but first game back, Sidebottom, Phillips for a lot of the match and those two misses FFS (let alone Stephenson’s miss)
Need Treloar back in a hurry.
Maynard was smashed tonight.
Buckley did not have a plan B.
Again poor conditions doesn’t help our cause.
Who will replace Howe?
