Highlights look a bit like Kennedy from swans. Has good hands. Great handball vision.

gee... lets not get too excited, but there are shades of Goddard the midfielder in that video. Fierce tackler too. Can see why Hine likes him.

Former Banyule boys to play for the Pies were Stephen Clifford and Greg Whitcroft back in the 70s

From the highlights looks fantastic, a season of strengthening and endurance, could be a ripper.

Have to say all 4 boys look like that can all stand up and hold their own. Hine & Bucks clearly have made a statement. Big bodied mids that can run and win their own ball.

Exciting times and as always, in HWT.

Of course I have never heard of him and now he is at Collingwood so is a champion especially as he is yet to play a game

"Brayden is a late developer who played for Marcellin and won their bets
And this would be why we took a punt on him then?

Looks terrific, we did pretty well in a shallow draft, to say the least, these kids look damn good to me, all finger snd toes crossed, and NO more season ending injuries, for the love of God !!

I agree, looks like a SSB clone. Or dare I say it, Pants Redux.

Thanks DTM - he's more like a 24 year old - big boy, looks composed in traffic and a bit of a bullock. Shades of Dangerfield

Other greats in Literature have compared him to a more robust version of Troy Luff.

Seeing his selection compared with Ben Kennedy in 2012 suggests the disparity in size and recruiting philosophy has done a complete U Turn!

I'm going to take a guess and say drafting him is partially a response to us trading out of the first round of 2016. He is underage (turns 18 in 3 weeks) and only has the two games of exposed form in the TAC besides the school footy and a couple games against men at Banyule.

Perhaps Hine concluded that with an invite back to Northern Knights he will have more exposed form next year and shoot up the draft order and then be unavailable next year. A bit like the Bontempelli scenario. Effectively we may have our 2016 first rounder now instead.
