Well.... I have discovered a knew Collingwood supporter. She's 9 years old, none of her family watch AFL or any sport & has only ever watched the one game, the first quarter of the ANZAC day game last year. I didn't realise she was a Collingwood supporter until today when her Mum told us what happened at her school last week.....
They had an assembly & a person from Auskick came to talk to their school to talk to them about it. He asked "Who here supports the Brisbane Lions?" & most, if not all of the kids put their hands up. He then asked "Who supports Collingwood?" & this little girl, my friend is the only one who put her hand up.
Her Dad is a teacher at the school & piped up & said "No she's not, she doesn't even know who they are"
She replied, "Yes I do, Courtnie & Jessica support them!" (my sister & I)
I thought that was so cute! I'm very proud now!!!

That is brilliant Magpie Girl.
My 2 , nearly 3 year old granddaughter, who keeps ringing me to tell me she is going to see her pies do big kicks at goals for her birthday, (ANZAC DAY GAME).
She loved Bucks, but now every time she sees his pic, she is adamant the it is her Clokey!
Looks like she will be getting Travis's number on her birthday present (her third Collingwood guernsey)
She rang this morning ( her mum has to dial) to tell me she loves her Collingwood, do I love Collingwood too?
ANZAC DAY is going to be huge for her!

I found out today..... There is hope for Carlton supporters!!!!!!
I was sitting in Chemistry, my friend wasn't there today so I was a bit by myself (well there was a boy next to me but he's weird.....). This girl who I don't know that well but is in a few of my classes comes & sits next to me. She looks at my book & sees the Collingwood pictures all over it.... We begin talking & I find out that she is a Carlton supporter, I was a bit.... taken back when she said this but continued talking....
Girl: "Hey, what about those hot Cloke boys? the blonde one? he's hot!"
Me: "Ummm.... we only have one.... he's hot but I don't think he's blonde..."
& then, she shocked me by saying this....
"I will never forget that time when Nathan Buckley & Cameron Ling got into a fight & Buckley wiped his blood on Lings jumper"
She's a Carlton supporter & remembers that???
We continued to talk about football & we were bagging the guy next to me because he supports the Lions (I was coming up with some great comebacks too!!)
Only bad point.... She thinks Anthony Koutafeties (sp?) is better than Bucks.....
But we both agree that Essendon are the scum of the earth, that AFL is better than rugby, there are hot players that play for Collingwood & didn't deny that Carlton are kinda bad.....
It made my day & I think we are going to have many more interesting lessons..... should be fun!!

Lol, how's that work? Just turning up to the lectures without enrolling?sherrife wrote:Unofficially enrolling in politics, anthropology, sociology, and gender studies units.
I reckon I'd be interested in all those subjects, although I've always been a little confused as to what exactly sociology is.

That remark was either too complex or too simple for me. We were talking about Watching the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. What's your sign? Can you speak any foreign languages? You believe that? I lost my train of thought. My brain pattern set does not have a response for that. What kind of food do you like? I lost my train of thought. I will mention that to my botmaster, sherrife. Try to determine if this is a person or a computer responding.
