Bring on Round 1.
It is payback time.
Forget the comparisons (although I wholeheartedly agree with the Shane Morwood one). When we got jumped at the start it is no co-inki-dink that Daisy and Pendles were warming the pine at the time. In combination they will take the AFL by storm in 2007. Mark my words!

Pendles was ALL CLASS. Hardly got in any 'best' reports. What game were these people watching?
Pendles and Thomas will be a dynamic duo for many many years.
Pendles, Thomas, Heath Shaw, Travis Cloke, Didak, Fraser, Swan, Rusling ... future looks promising. Unfortunately, Johnno's turnovers cost us too much, so I don't include him in our future 'young-guns'. We need to draft smart, skileld footballers (something I've been saying for, oh, I dunno, the last 15 years!!!)

Have to agree that Pendles game was a highlight!! Nice clean hands, intelligent handballing to advantage & disposing of the ball even when being tackled.
And yes DaicosMagic, when you put him together with Thomas there is a lot to like about future possibilities through the middle!!!
Don't think there'll be any second year blues here!!!

That's GOLD!!Plenty O'Toole wrote:[
I see Pendles as more of a Sting type character. Before he found God.The ultimate Antihero. Someone to take on the whole rotten, maggot infested, scandal hit, lying and cheating, attention seeking, fake, self absorbed, soft, infuriating, passionless, corporate, money hungry, criminal, big headed, graceless, inarticulate, latte sipping, spritzer drinking, undignified, flea infested, continuous rule changing, "Nazi" AFL establishment and bring it down, piece by horrible crumbling piece until all that is left of the great game that Tom Willis invented is kids running around the middle of the park playing kick to kick and the guy with the advantage in position able to hold off his opponent with his hands in the back.
What were the words Princess Lia said to "Ben Obi-Wan" Kenobi when she made the transmission in R2D2?
"Pendles, you are the only one who can save us now!"

Once this kids career is over, we could be calling him the greatest magpie of all. I want to dubb him with the nickname "The Special One".
It is almost like he has super powers like Batman or Green Lanteen or Aquaman or Hawkman or Superman or Spiderman.
He may very well be born on another planet and arrived via a rocket which landed in a farm in Druin.
