XTCC, you are a lucky man. After Pendles gets BOG in the papers for the first 7 games, he will be in to about 6 to 4. It really is money for jam. I am just going down the local TAB. I had a 50c collect on El Segundo for a place today and I am going to take my 55c and just go wild and put it on Pendles each way to win and place in the Brownlow. I think the place is top 4 so you are virtually assured of that. All Pies supporters should fly the flag and show some faith and get on Pendles for the Brownlow. Then when he wins, you can donate it to your favourite charity. My favourite charity is Me.xtcc wrote:i just put 10 on him to the brownlow @ 1001 sports bet

It not hard to get over excited about Scott. I was doing all last year at Williamstown games. In fact I was excited just watching him at training with Dale Thomas, even before a ball was kicked in anger. Then GF took hold and his preseason was out the window.Zakal wrote:Guys...Horse...Cart....back in order please.
From reports he has had two great games in a row. (i saw the one at Carra, and yes it was fantastic) however can we at least wait until they are 2 HA games before we start dubbing him the Messiah? hehe
It is not just what he is doing that excitres us, it is how he is doing it and the ease with which it is done. Like Nathan Buckley, he makes everything look so easy.

It is almost like he is a chess master playing against people who have only taken the game up a few days ago. His mind is 6 or 7 steps and moves in front of everyone else. He could be the best player to ever walk through the doors of the Lexus Centre, go into the canteen and eat a soggy 8- day-old sausage roll and under cooked chips.

Nathan Buckley, Bob Rose, John Greening and Peter Daicos didn't need time. They picked up a ball and everybody knew they were going to be good. You can see it in their eyes.Joel wrote:Yeah, um, we wouldn't want to give the kid some time would we?
True, Scott is all potential at the moment. But that potential is so huge it is incredible to think where he will take us.

In all fairness and due consideration for his bout of GF....Buckley and co were doing the things Pendles has done in the last 2 practice matches in his very first HA game.die4pies wrote:Nathan Buckley, Bob Rose, John Greening and Peter Daicos didn't need time. In fact Bucks was so good, he actually had Stevo tagging him in his first game. (now thats the way to learn to play a tag)...take notes C.Judd
Dont get me wrong, i love Pendles and hope he could one-day become a Dal Santo for us, and if he becomes as good as Dal Santo, we will be very very lucky and gone a long way to atone for picking Cole instead.
