Surely like the Clokes, we get one good Rocca out of that mix! (albeit the Jason Cloke discussion might be held / thrashed out elsewhere...)

If we jagged two 100 gamers out of that list it'd be a blessing.
We need advocate hard that Sav gets into the Hall of Fame... get him onside :)

AFL to overhaul draft on father-sons, academy picks

Post by Culprit »

https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/afl ... 5ensp.html

After the 2010 Premiership where we used the interchange bench, the AFL decided to bring in x amount of interchanges. Now with Josh, Nick, and Darcy becoming Premiership Players it's now nobble the system to prevent/hinder Sons from playing at their Fathers Club.

The point system is a farce and that was exposed this year.

^ re Lu,e Godden, not many Larke Medalists have failed to come on over the past 20 years (albeit his was in 1995).
At school we had a former Larke Medalist in our 1st XVIII, still the best junior football player I've seen. But even he didn't get picked up, despite a brief stint at the Swans as a draftee he couldn't force his way into a stacked midfield - Healy, Williams, Mitchell...

While not wanting to de-rail the thread, did Godden have a falling out with Malthouse? He played every game in 1998, taking out the most improved award, then by the end of 1999 he was de-listed. Strange no other club saw fit to pick him up.
Maybe he dated Christie?
