Fev might have two years left and in the process stuff-up the culture of our playing group.
I'll stick to my guns, I want more playing time for our kids and Fev doesn't come into the equation imo.
Collingwood doesn't need to top up, we have to finish our building phase. Don't send all the wrong messages to the young players.

I think having fevola will be a enormous help for jack.
Jack has kicked 50 goals this year, and you could see he was getting 3 outed at times,he will get burnt out, just like medhurst, paying the price this year for 2 years as a main foward,as he was kicking more goals than cloke and jack, look now teams have worked out to double team,ok we dont have the height, and fevola is same height as jack, but hes big and can kick bags of goals.
Alcohol issue,we have had players with issues before.Look at the person behind the alcohol,it makes you do stupid shit,we have all acted a little stupid in our days of drinking, but we all cant be judged on our demeanor while pissed.
Ok he cant handle it,so dont give him in the lime light to b on tv,the afl invited him to the brownlow, and then was givin the mic.
Simple limit hes tv appearances,or even if he was to be interveiwed, alex stick hes child in hes arms,he wont act the tool then.
I think he will be a enormous help for us,the club, and our fowards can learn abit as well.
EDDIE-Its time,us supporters crave glory,we all know we are a little short of the competition leaders, malthouse even said at our best we aint any where near geelongs best.
So act now,pay the price for fev, trade players, trade picks,
Alos if your going to pay money to players that dont make it out on the park at all,eg rocca, rusling why not pay the money for fevola.
The clocks ticking and you need to deliver something, you have failed to intice j brown, judd, cousins,l power, not to mention the picks that were given away and what we missed out on,pavlich wont go there, roach oh my god.
Eddie mcguire i watched the 1990 grand final, you looked a nobody sitting on the boundary line, when leigh matthews walked down to congratulate the bench, you are someone now.
We want to see you up there, with the players.
ACT NOW BEFORE YOUR TIMES UP,
PRESIDENTS DONT LAST FOREVER.

As much as I'm a Dawes fan, some people need to sit back and look at the options.
Dawes & pick 14 for the Coleman Medalist. Potential v proven. No brainer.

i'm not so sure i'd part with dawes, i think he has something...
pick 14 + wellingham? sharrod would have more currency and to be honest, i don't see that much in him.

But do Carlton really need any more midfielders?
Ben Reid would have been perfect if he had developed a bit quicker as they need backmen but I doubt they would accept him now

- Scotland [practically free]

I was just listening to Kevin Bartlett's show on SEN.
One listener who said he was close to Carlton said that Chris Judd told Kernahan "either trade Fev or trade me."
Someone suggested Fev for Didak. If that was going to be the case I'd say no.
I think Pendlebury, Swan, Didak, Shaw, Maxwell, Thomas, Beams, Sidebottom, O'Brien and possibly a couple of others would be out of bounds.

Last year some Collingwood supporters (including myself) were resigned to getting rid of Heater and Dids because of their off-field stuff-ups.
Now some people want the biggest off-field stuffer-upper around.
Sure he might kick some goals, but at what price? Affecting the culture of our playing group and further delaying the important development of our youngsters.
There's no way in hell I wanted Shaw or Didak to go. At the time or now. Call me unethical, but I want Collingwood to have good footballers. Being good citizens always takes a back seat to that.

Don't forget Peter McKenna finished his career at Carlton.
FEVOLA OR COUSINS

How many people this time last year,
Were screaming to get cousins at collingwood.
Well if most want a drug addict, why wouldnt we give a player with alcohol issues(off field not on field alcohol issues).
And im yet to see fevola make a documentry on why he blew everything for the drink.
i understand most wouldnt want carlton scum at our club, but facts are we need a foward that kicks bags of goals, dawes at best is a 2 goal player, cloke isnt getting better with age,and we rely on jack and medhurst too much.

It sure does.
Maybe we should sit back and watch as nobody puts their hand up for Fev and then trade for Judd instead! (If he did actually say trade me or Fev)

I think he can be tamed... my concern is his salary
If it were below all our other stars then yes he is worth a 2 year risk.
Youth policy taken into account and all.
Same wage as Hall is offered and a trade with an agreed player (that is a player happy to play at the scum)

Would Collingwood be much better off in 2009, 2010 and 2011 if we had ben cousins ?
Similarly how much better off will we be with Fev and what are the costs of getting him.
I dont think we'll be able to win a flag for a couple of years so are probably better of not going for blokes getting close to the end like Cousins and Fev ....

I wanted Cousins last year. He's a gun.
