Re: Someone asked wether Mick's lost the players.....well...
Today was finally the day all of the ineptitude, arrogance and stupidity displayed in the last 5 years came back and bit us on the arse big time.Bring_back_rupert wrote:Mick lost the players on the night of the GF loss of 2003, He can't admit he was wrong. Then he loses his main tactician (Laidley)...then he blames ...Daniher for 2003 and sacks him...and then why does Michael Broadbridge leave??....there are too many unanswered questions......
The non-drafting of Pavlich cost us a victory today - oh, and 2 premierships in 2002 & 2003. I seriously can't get over it. It has set us back at least 5 years.
If James Clement WANTED to go home to W.A. - who would blame him? I'd trade him out of RESPECT - give him one final chance to play in a premiership, as his current teammates obviously aren't interested in such pursuits.
And if i read one more comment here about Presti or Johnno not deserved of a spot in this rabble of a team, after their absence left us sterile - so help me - I will LOSE IT. No more Betheras or Freeza when things get tough. Instead we have the next wave of MM "stars" to replace them - Williams, Walker, Lokan & co.
And all of a sudden that hack McPharlin thinks he's Tony Modra.
Richmond are a chance to kick a club record against us next week as well.
Or did Pork Powder or Caaaaaarlton make them look good?
On the positive side, Bears are keeping us company at the arse end of table with Bummers.
And Nicole Davis did her hamstring in opening minute of last nights Sydney vs. Dons match.
So it isn't all bad.

all i can say is. bucks and rocca enjoy the rest of the season off. NO point in them returning back and doing ANOTHER injury. rather them on sideline getting ready for next year.
that has to be one of the worst games i have listen to ever on radio.
what happened with woey did he get injured again? how many FIT players were left for us!!
its a absolute shocker.
our best player was a rookie then the next was a player playing his 2nd or 3rd game, YET was not suppose to play!!

Where do I start?!
What a disgarce. Where are we going? Nowhere. Our side lacks everything. No spark. No excitement. Davies, Yakka and Rowe our best. Just what does that tell us? Disgraceful. Our football club continues to reach new depths unthought of at AFL level. Worse then 1999 alright. Even 1998, when we barely put up a fight from round 8 onwards. We are up the creek, and drowing ourselves.
Unacceptable. I don't know if I REALLY want MM to stay or not. Yes, he could mould us into a new, talented side. On the other hadn...he has many a point to prove.
I am disgraced to be a Collingwood supporter today. Why do injuries follow us around like a shadow on a summers day? Everyone is copping thge injuries. Why? There has to be a public investigation on everything since the 2003 Grand Final. Something must have been left behind in the old Members Stand thnat afternoon. They didn't take it out with the that day. We have been terrible ever since. I love this club. But why should I when they perform like that? I'm sick of excuses - I want reasons. Stuff the spin. All well and good when we are up, but, seriously, when does it all end?

After 38 years of following Collingwood, I'm just about ready to pack it in.
I was very aprehensive coming into this season - although even in my wildest nightmares, I didn't think it was possible to have a year worse than last year.
At least last year I thought they still had a go despite the injuries.
The first game this year against the WB sounded the warning although we were lulled into thinking things weren't too bad being relatively competetive in the games after that considering the players we had out.
Until Anzac Day, when I witnessed one of the most poorly skilled displays of crap from both teams and felt like giving it away then - if that was football, I didn't want to watch any more.
Today we would have been better to walk off the ground and forfeit the game rather than that embarrassing pissweak effort.
I pity the younger players hoping to get a spot in the "team" and can't imagine how we will ever lure any decent players to this Club when we are nothing but a rabble.
Sorry if this is harsh, maybe the game as a whole has gone down the gurgler and just isn't worth watching.

This club has not rewarded it members or supporters. If the Roos or Dogs played like us they would not be around.
Today preformance was digraceful and all involved should be ashamed.
This playing list will play again next week and preform the same has today mark my words. We have lost the passion for the jumper and coach.

Didn't kop any shit from the Freo supporters on the walk home (gracious in victory or massacre, respect) but one was shouting out COLD PIES COLD PIES, i told him it was more like FROZEN PIES, did the football department forget to take the microwave with then on the trip over?
Anyways cheers to the Western Magpie's for organising the day, the cheer squad for showing a few of us how 'to raise it' (the banner that is) without too much trouble. That Freo Doctor is a tricky one
Bring on Bitchmond!!
