Peter Brock - a highly decent, intelligent and approachable man, an amazing sportsman, and a great collingwood supporter.

You will be missed.

What a sad week. Brocky has been an all time idol of mine and I was so rapt to get to meet him a few years ago - of course we mentioned the Pies! Condolences to his family and friends.

And also sending heartfelt thoughts to his co-driver and family.

Absolutely love the idea of .05 die4pies.

I understood that even though Collingwood doesn't have a number 1 member(we are all number 1) That BROCKY was our number 5 (or .05) member number.

Surely the banner this week should pay respect to Brocky. And, I expect, the players will each wear a black armband to honour the passing of a great Australian and noted Collingwood supporter.

When I was growing up, the day after the grand final always heralded the Bathurst race. And the Bathurst 1000 was Brocky's race. Even in recent times, when his Bathurst-winning days were behind him, he was always referred to as 'King of the Mountain', such was his dominance of the sport in his prime.

Always understated. Always contrite. Peter Brock was the epitome of a true sporting champion.

May God look kindly upon his soul.

Very terrible news, I got told from a friends mother that he had died, I was shocked, and saddened to hear about the tragic passing of Peter Brock.

An extremely bad week for Australian icons this week.

RIP Brocky :(
