Re: Danny Stanley on Debut
Fully agree, I'd love to see him freed up and given a run on the ball. Certainly doesn't shy away from the tough stuff and uses the ball very well. Was able to provide some run out of defence on occasions despite having goals kicked on him. Promising start given the match ups he had.DaVe86 wrote:Was really given an impossible task, and i think it would be pretty rough to judge him on the 4 or 5 goals he had kicked on him by Robbo.
What i found pleasing is that when he had a chance to do something, he kept his head, hit his targets and held his marks. A normal first gamer wouldve been really rattled by Robbo's start on him...but he kept his head. Id love to see him get a game where he is given a bit of freedom.
All in all, despite it been a poor debut for Stanley, he showed a bit of talent

I will have to get back with the stats etc:
Danny has improved out of sight this year, his games with Collingwood were solid unlucky to be put back to Williamstown for the return of a senior player.
I think Danny has leadership qualities down the track.
He was awesome for Willy on Saturday although did not feature in the Best players.
