Mate messaged me today, saying he was the best recruit since Buckley. Big call I know, but he's probably the most important to our team since the Buckley recruit (maybe A.Rocca as well), given we knew we needed a proper ruckman, and we went out and got him, and in his first game, he well and truly delivered.

You could hear the sighs of pleasure every time Woody palmed straight down to one of our blokes. His second efforts were terrific too. How he never got a free when he tackled that oversized stick insect in the goal square is beyond me. Pinged. Dropped it cold.
We've picked up a winner in Wood.

Great game by Wood showed some great signs, he was our only ruckman to beat Sandilands at the centre bounce. If Fraser isn't careful he could find himself as a 2nd stringer.

I want Fraser to play 2nd fiddle to someone (hopefully Wood). He is more like Adam Goods than a Dean Cox, and can't be tied down to a position like the Ruck.

As soon as Cam's body can take playing 75% in the ruck (and fitness too i suppose) i would give him first crack, and play Fraser as a floating HFF/Wing.

agreed he was anything but soft, he went hard at it all day, and always there for the second effort, i would have giving them a spray if i heard someone calling him soft

we've finally got a ruckman!!!! After 6 years of Richards, McKee and now Bryan. Hurrah, now we're a genuine shot. Probably the best since Monkey.

For his first game for us, it was OK.
At times he dominated the centre bounces and at times he was beaten.
