i feel strangely indifferent about the whole thing. not worth reading the drivel that is going to be spewed by the usual suspects. i trust they'll revel in it.

and for lazza and co who had pregame anxieties about the game, your fears have been proven. sh|t happens.
yeah, I'm there with you. Sometimes we lose and I'm ready to seriously break things. Tonight, not so much. I'm annoyed but not shattered.

It's not the half way mark of the season yet, much as I'd like to win every game by 60+ points each week, that's not happening. We've had a good run and lost 1 (now 2) and the bears had a bad run but were better than that as they showed tonight.

this season is SNAFU.
That is very soon.

If he finds a target, we have a shot to go in front, he kicks it straight to Staker, who then transfers the ball, Fev Goals, game over.

Nathan Brown should have played, we had one key defender tonight.
I would argue it was Clokes handball that missed its target.
Spot On Cam, as soon as it happened I knew it would cost us a goal.
Mind you fev kicked it out of his arse.
Go Pies!

How can anyone keep a top job when we perform so unpredictably and poorly without any rationale? I have had it with this Board. They make the appointments and we collapse every year for no apparent reason. I am not blaming players here. I think we have a complete club culture failure.

Time to comment.

Piss off Hiss. If you can still see the keyboard then your not pissed enough.

Guess whose fault that is. Mr Stubborn as an ox was back in the box tonight.

This side lacks polish.....and at the moment a lack of defensive pressure in the forward 50. JA goes to ground all the time.

I am not blaming the umpiring for our effort however I am sick and tired of these morons continually making pathetic decisions against us this year.

I lost count of how many times our back were ushed in the back and the morons continued to call play on.

As for our effort to me we looked very tired and we definately had no run. Plenty of mistakes being made but the beauty of it all, we have time to fix them up.

Jack & Dawes are only good if our midfield is up otherwise we cannot depend on them at all. Yes one can say that about any forward line but when they don't contribute they are diabolical. - no poise & Dawes consistently turns like the Queen Mary

Having said that go pies for next week.
Very True when our Mids are up and going they look fantastic but if they are not they might as well be on the Bench

Also, the idiot who did not pay Jack's mark in front of goal in the final qtr should be stood down for next week. Completely changed the momntum as we were peppering the goals.

Nt happy Jan :x

Unleash the Sackings Now

Post by Hiss »

Before it is too late we must start sacking underperforming players and coaches. We have a culture at Collingwood that we cannot shake for some reason which basically means we can never be relied on to be the power house team in any season eg: Geelong! We drop games without any warning and do so when we are often expected to win. That just is stunning by any measure? And of course what would this receipe of failure be without the same chorus of dumb fans (many on here) who attack the man and ignore the message. They are the real cause of Collingwoods failure. They stand for failure in their own tragic lives and they support failure in our club refusing to allow any criticism of this non effort.

I call for sackings now before this season is lost. I agree with many of the great posters on here like DTM and Dave the Man.

Pathetic! Carlton and West Coast also have better win-loss ratios against us.

We are a joke of a team. I sometimes wonder why I spend so much time and money, they are just such a club of pretenders, they always get talked up but never deliver. Disappointing and gutless.

Cam Wood should never play for Collingwood again.
thats a bit harsh - save your money then - i would not call them a joke - i am dissappointed but half the team at leaset had a real crack - its our forwards as usual who let us down -

Shocking effort, I said pre match if we dont thrash them then we are not contenders, losing is unbelievable and this side has a long way to go

The move that cost Collingwood the match was putting Maxwell on Fevola, Fev barely touched it before then and ended up winning them the game

Nope. I commented on it in the game thread. Too many blokes worried about getting hurt. It was wet in Brissie and our boys are not used to playing in greasy conditions. We all know it doesn't rain in Melbourne any more.
