bring him in for his 200th against west coast.
oh yeah that's right - he couldnt get a game then!
I don't think Josh is up to it any more but this is a truly foul attitude.

Well, these are the games we have to start winning if we are serious about being flag contenders.

No excuses. We must give it 100%.

Strange how JA gets dropped for Saints games! I had forgotten that Shaw and Johnno were out in rnd 3 so that makes me feel a little better.
I am worried about them having 2 men on Dawes. I want the Pies to play on their terms and not get all defensive and play into Stkilda's way of playing.

With the run from Reid, Shaw and Harry out of the back line I am confident we can keep them to a low score, I just hope we can kick enough ourselves and not allow the likes of Gilbert, Fisher and Gram to rebound it out of our 50

Wow, this could be the most embarrassing loss in the clubs history, who the hell is going to kick the goals? Big game outdoors at the MCG, a bit cold maybe a little wet, Leon wont get a kick and the Caff in for Anthony? They have gone mad at Collingwood

Thank god we have the draw and dont have to worry about %

Defender, I too had hoped to see Medders as an in this week. We can live in hope he will return to the form we know he can show when fully fit.

The fuzz, loved your earlier post re Paul the octopus. I am now fully confident.
And as for the supreme Dane Swan, I am totally with you there. As I have said before. , when it comes to him, I even have hubby's permission.

One does worry about our forward line, but either way we're going to learn a lot about the 22 on the park this week.

With a bit of luck this will be the game where the Caff finds his feet. He certainly seems to be going about things the right way. Get 'em son.

Just looking back at the stats the last time we met it seems as though the Caff had a pretty solid game. Coming off a near best on ground performance in the ressies it's no real surprise he's been picked. Not sure what to think of Medders' non inclusion, that's a bit of a worry. One thing's for certain, Dawes will need to play the game of his life. Do that against the best defence going around and I've got both feet well and truly planted on the wagon.

Surprised Medders didn't get a game. Wonder if something is going on there. Not really surprised Josh didn't get in. Looks like he'll struggle to get to the 200 now.

Macaffer has had a few chances to cement his spot. He'd better grab this one with both hands.

6 changes from the last time we played the Saints.

Post by mattys123 »

Yep, the thread title says it all, since we played the Aints way back in round 3, we have had a heap of ins and outs in our side.

The side selected this week, if it stays the same, will have 6 different players to the one that played at Docklands.

Cloke and Maxwell are the only "important" outs, with huge inclusions like Reid, Shaw, Dawes and Johnson who simply put, have improved us.

Out: (from Round 3); O'Bree, Maxwell, Cloke, Medhurst, McCarthy, Fraser

In: Reid, Shaw, Goldsack, Dawes, Johnson, Blair.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

By the same token, StKilda only have 3 changes, and most would say they have gone backwards in these changes;

Out: (from round 3); Armitage, King, Baker

In: Pattison, Steven, Koschitzke

----------------------------------------------------------------

Overall, even the most fervent of Collingwood haters would have to say our ins seems better then the Saints.

Steven did quite well a few weeks back. Know nothing about Pattison, and Kosi's obviously good. King and Baker are big losses though. I'd say the Saints have broken even since then.

As for us, it's a bit of a changing of the guard there. Goldsack, Dawes, Reid and Blair have all improved us, and Johnson and Shaw are walk-up starts to the 22. We'll miss Cloke and Maxwell, but otherwise the other three have long passed their peak (in the case of Medhurst, we hope he can return to it). Not sure we'll see McCarthy at senior level again. If these changes are anything to go by, we're going to put in a very strong showing.
