I don't know what makes me laugh more the sports science guys and the work load or them ruling on the gym routines - most of them would be lucky to have ever lifted a barbell - and it does show.
Have a look at the Strength training coaches on the NFL teams - they are all very experienced in the practical side of their field - and less in the theory world.
