I have a proper hand scoop machine at home (Harris in the green packet is my favourite ground coffee) - and bought one of the Aldi Expressi Machines for work about 6 months ago. Great buy!!
Agree the #10 & #9 are the best ones, but always sold out.
I am interested in the hot-chocolate pods so my work colleagues will get some use out of the machine too.

Stui, TP - I solved the jamming/falling problem a while ago (for the genuine Aldi pods).
There is a technique - once pod is placed in the slot, pull handle down pretty fast until it hits the pod, but then don't force the handle at the last bit, be more gentle after you've felt contact.I haven't had a pod jam or drop through for about 4-5 months, and haven't broken a handle since the first replacement in the first week!! LOL!!
works! thanks!!
i'll work on it but I'm not exactly full of finesse and subtlety at 6:20 am.

Speaking of gadgets, this is a great article looking back at the original smartphone - the Simon:

Check the contrast ratio on that TV.

What is contrast ratio?

No worries, if it's shit in the room it's intended for, put it back in the box and take it back, gotta love Aldi for that! It is made by Samsung though, and they are usually pretty good.

Samsung panels are pretty good & for the $ is a good buy but you also get what you pay for.

Note I said "put it in the pool room", I don't need a flash tv when I'm outside playing pool watching footy and getting drunk with the distinct possibility I might throw something through it if we loose!

Well when you turn it on, it's pretty ordinary, but the picture is very adjustable and came up alright. What's not alright is the sound, it's like your under water! Maybe external speakers would help! But I don't like the look of it. Hubby can take it to the workshop and hook up some speakers, I'll stick with the 42inch!

So basically, it's a cheap TV.

Thanks for reporting. I'll stick with my Plasmas, I'm not a big fan of the LED TV's anyway.
