5 goals scored from stoppages inside our defensive 50
Winning goal was coast to coast without us looking like touching it
We didn't tackle today at all
If I had a dollar for every dummy or fake they through and we fell for I wouldn't be working tomorrow or for a month the or 2
18 marks inside our forward 50 and we don't win wow
Fasalo convinced me today he's a genuine spud promised so much looks like a world beater look at the end of the day he kicks 1-3 and 2 OOF
Elliott has been playing busted never should have played today
Unlike many I did find a few positives
Thought Marsh was very good
Scharenberg showed glimpses of what he can do
Adams is a beast
Greenwood did a decent job on Heppell
Grundy was a huge lose today when he was on we never looked like losing a clearance
Oh well young teams do this to you one week they are world beaters next week they are egg beaters
Proves one thing Swanny is still in our top 2 players easily I would hate to see where we would be without him and Pendles.
To many senior players just running around doing SFA White Sidey Brown Blair were all ordinary today
Ok well looking forward to draft talk now
A pretty good summation, except (surprise, surprise) I wasn't much impressed with Scharenberg at all. I don't think he does much with the ball when he gets it and too often simply handballs it to a player one metre away. Also, I thought it was Pendles' worst game for the year, and those 2 set shots he missed ultimately cost us the game. Not good enough from our captain. However, I wonder if he's been carrying an injury, as he seemed to lack any zip at all today. Also De goey and Crisp both had down days.

Anyway, I'm glad this season is finally over and hopefully we recruit a couple of new gun players and our younger brigade add a few kilos of muscle over the pre-season.

Wasn't on his own, wasted way too many opportunities. Fas kicked 2.1 and should have had 4 or 5. Pendles kicked 0.2, should have definitely been 2.0.
Sure, just frustrating that Moore's two chances came in the last 5 minutes or so, when either would have been "put down your glasses" moments. And the last one, when he broke clear with a paddock in front of him and then put the ultimate hospital *(mortuary) pass to the Pies player running back with the flight... ah well, young players.

Melbourne is always lovely in Spring, as the jasmine wafts and the racing carnival lifts off.

In reality this game meant nothing to either team and they played accordingly. 40000 people deserve to be refunded. We went out there to get pick 7 in the draft and we got it. That's what is important in the scheme of things. Someone posted if GWS won we would have as well. Spot on. Another season has passed, not many had us in the eight. The experts didn't have us in the eight. Bring on summer and hope for 2016.

Let's hope the VFL team have a crack 😎

What a disgraceful performance. I really cant see any joy for us in the foreseeable future.

Its all very well to rebuild the playing list, I think we need to rebuild the coaching panel.

We are getting worse every year. Next stop, 16th.

Pendles clearly carrying an injury that restricts his kicking. I know he's a master at handballing but he is now tacking the the wrong option by handballing when he should be kicking.

I suspect an ankle or Achilles injury

I am glad that is over. A poor game to finish off a poor season. Fancy losing to the dopers and Melbourne. If we go further down the ladder next year Buckley just has to go. No more conjecture and no more excuses. No structure and no game plan in 2016 then no Buckley in 2017. That was pathetic.

I was so happy sitting in the Ponny freezing my Rs off and watching that crap.

Buckley isn't going anywhere. I wouldn't bother wasting your time speculating about who might take over from him. It's not gonna happen.

Ah well. Hope we get Treloar and maybe someone else good enough to walk into our best 22.

Make no mistake, the dons have improved since Hird got the arse, they should have beaten the suns too, But, it was a bitterly disappointing way too end our season, especially after last weeks great victory. Im not saying we didnt try today, we did, but some of our decisons are just plain dumb, stupid, inept, totally mind boggling, moronic and at times we seem to be going around in circles.Taylor adams was terrific, the real standout, but what on earth has happened to Pendles kicking, he missed two sodas that should have seen us win. I just hope we can recruit this treloar, aish, and we need guys who can reliably KICK GOALS, NOT POINT AFTER FRIGGIN POINT. we cannot go on like this, missing dead ceart goals. Umps were shit in the last qtr, by god they helped the bummers grind out that win, no doubt about that one. Roll on next season, Bucks, my friend, you have one more season mate, so start the campaign now, if you want an extension. That is all.

I saw that piece of play a little differently - Moore kicked it to a spot where we had a 2on1 advantage if the ball had have hit the deck, (granted not to the leading player's advantage), only for Elliott to pull out and let the defender mark it unopposed.

You get unpredictable results in these type of games all the time (Dogs lost to Lions, Giants lost to Dees, Cats got smashed by us last week). I'd not have felt much better about our season had we managed to win today. It was a poor game but hardly pathetic (though the first half might have come close).
Agreed. No Swan, no Cloke, and then Grundy going off probably made the difference. Nothing hung on this for us, but quite a bit did for Essendon, who woudl have wanted to make a statement after a year from hell.

Enjoy the break and then get a good preseason into our many promising youngsters and load up again for next year. I'm holding onto the fact that when it was all to play for, we pushed the top teams bloody hard this year, which was better than last year. I might be overly optimistic, but I think that 2016 will see us contending hard.
Yep, pretty much my thoughts too, we did push the top teams earlier, especially dawks and freo, and we only got really pantsed badly once, so that was a big improvement. we lost around seven really close games, you cant do that and make finals. Treloar will help immensley, and we need to get pendles and swan cherry ripe too, Pendles does not look himself at all. must be injured. Moore looks a ripper, but itd help if we could recruit a realiable mid height forward who can kick straight, should we go for stevie J or adcock for one season ?
