Not blaming, it's a fn tuff competition. It's a game of inches.Damien wrote:Goldy awesome playing possibly the best footy of his career.Mugwump wrote:Funny how people see things so differently. Adams is a warrior.
Blair, went missing but hit the scoreboard. Couldn't possibly drop him.
DeGoey, improving by the week. An extractor and quality user.
Maynard, gunna be a gun. Two goals tonight.
These are some of the culprits some in here are blaming for our loss. Oh, and the coach of course. We were great tonight and the only reason we lost was due to a simple mistake from a player that should know better. Lynden Dunn kicked out to a contest with 1 min on the clock. Maybe nobody got into space, maybe the runner didn't tell him. In an arm wrestle That was where we lost the game. End of story.

11,360 people were in attendance tonight.thompsoc wrote:Looked a poor crowd tonite.
I think the crowds going forward for us will be really bad.
People keep saying we are the biggest in the land but l think we are slipping fast.

Geez, AFL, it was really worth distorting the competition for that, wasn't it ?Jezza wrote:11,360 people were in attendance tonight.thompsoc wrote:Looked a poor crowd tonite.

Exactly. You could just as easily blame Blair for the slide free kick, Phillips for sitting on his knees and not giving off the handball... many of the players who missed easy goals (Reid, De Goey and Moore all missed very gettable goals). There were many, many things we could have done better today.john b wrote:Not blaming, it's a fn tuff competition. Definitely goes some way to explaining our lapse in the dying stages. We couldn't move the ball quickly out of defence with GWS setting up a zone which was hard to break through.Woods Of Ypres wrote:If the 14 yr old goal umpire did her fkn job properly we would have held on. Calling for the replay after the clear behind prevented us from playing on quickly. Gws were then able to set a zone and it cost us the game
Should have had the match won earlier though. Very frustrating...

Wells glides through the centre square...then has SFA to kick to. The forward line is an abomination. No one ever running ahead of the play for a cheapie. And Fasolo ALWAYS behind the pack...never front and square.
Also notice how GWS set up with forward runners nearly every contest or stoppage. They've always got a 'cheat' forward of play. It's just basic, smart modern football. In a flash they have 2-3 forward and running and they back themselves in. This isn't the 1990s. We all play behind the stoppage. We're being outsmarted by modern thinking. It's embarrassing. Didn't you ever wonder how GWS constantly outnumbered us from so man stoppages? It was deplorable watching us play old school football.
