^ Yes, I agree about the umpiring. I also agree that there are a number of Melbourne players who do appear to prefer not to get into a contest. Viney is by no means alone.
Really, Melbourne are very poor. This GWS team took the field with 8 changes (some good players came in but some good players went out, as well) and I really cannot remember when a team that did that won the game. Melbourne got 3 goals up and were controlling the contest. Then, the wheels fell off under some physical pressure.
Start of the last - Viney, after about 25 seasons in the AFL, still doesn't know his limitations, tries to do too much and gets caught HTB at the first bounce.
