Great story about his return to footy and the impact Fly had on his decision. This young man simply has a great attitude about his opportunity. He’s honest about his limitations and the mistakes he makes but he’s comfortable because he knows he’s given it his all. Theres a fair bit to like about Markov as a person and not just the football player.

Love his work but he really needs to tighten up on his opponent today.
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️

What a good read. Remarkable journey to get to this point. Very honest about his learning curve - from what I saw last week, certainly doesn't lack confidence on the ground & has natural speed.

You get the feeling he'll make very post a winner, given the chance.

Great article.
I’m loving what Oleg is bringing to the Pies.
Yes, he makes the occasional mistake, but I’m loving his energy and willingness to bounce back and give 100%. Did some very good things late against the bombers.

What a story. Full of twists and turns.
Markov has what it takes I reckon.
Another string to Fly's bow. Amazing, genius coach.

One thing about Markov, 26 188cm 85kg
his moustache alone brings character and style to this Collingwood team.

He's no star, but he's playing his role well and diligently.

You always need players like that to contend for a flag. You could argue having a solid bottom 6 is more than important than just top end talent.

Was excellent tonight.

Also looks like he came straight out of a black-and-white photograph of our 1902 VFL team. Stick a cap and a lace-up jumper on him and he’d fit right in. Love it. :D

With the current injury list those back-up players are getting invaluable experience if needed come finals.
