To this day I still play Suite:Judy Blue Eyes. Such a great fun song to do. Their version of Woodstock is so different to Joni's but no less good. Wooden Ships is just breathtaking......

Anyway, half a dozen of my guilty 70s pleasures I've been listening to of late:

Sailor - Glass Of Champagne:

Graham Gouldman - Sunburn:

Dave Edmunds - Girls Talk:

Beckett - A Rainbow's Gold:

McGuinn, Clark & Hillman - Don't You Write Her Off:

Henry Gross - Shannon:

Spoiled to billy-o we were :D

PS: Happy belated 70th to Stephen Stills (3rd Jan) , my musical godfather. Long may he run
Shannon by Henry Gross.
The greatest song ever written about the loss of a dog.
Immortal lines......"Shannon has gone....maybe she'll find an island with a shady tree, just like the one in our backyard"
Magic.

Saw Kenny rogers tonight, was awesome. He's really fragile looking, but he's just had a knee reconstruction. Little worried when he toddled out looking like Santa, but wow, he still rocked it! Some great jokes, all the songs I love, film clips to match, the crowd all sung the gamble and lucille, and the chorus of other songs. I drive my kids nuts singing Lenny jump of the bridge love songs! I was in tears listening to the real thing. Such a fantastic night.

Cheers

Glad you enjoyed it. Recordings are good but there's still nothing like seeing a musician perform live.

Gave this a spin this afternoon. Vale Margot Moir. Some of the sweetest harmonies of all time for mine.

That's awesome. Took my MIL to her sisters funeral today, they had the usual version, still a beautiful song.

Heard this pop shit on the radio and now it wont get out of my head. I swear music must be written by psychologists to go on replay in your mind.
