Well you just wait till Stefano reappears and joins the Cloke negotiation team!

I suspect you could learn as much about the Cloke negotiations divining the flights of birds as you would reading posts on Nick's about the issue.

All we need to know about the Cloke negotiating team is that it has recently included Ricky Nixon as a consultant. Enough said. Travis' old man is not too bright and he must have thought Ricky was good at doing Cloke deals whereas we all know he has a long record doing Coke deals.

This isn't a new rumor, I've heard a very similar thing almost two months ago from a Pies fan. The rumor was that Cloke decided he's leaving but he wants us to get a fair trade/compensation for him, meaning he won't walk as a free agent to leave us with just one draft pick.
But I still don't buy it.

Are we confident he will find form after signing?

Don't need him mate - Heat signed Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis - back to back in 2013.

IF he puts in a miserly effort today v the Dawks, the pressue will be enormous on him, if its not already. Trouble is, his family, his old man, thinks his boy is a Superstar, and hes not. Another 1 goal 4 effort today, and old Damir Cloke should really back off pronto, and tell his boy to sign asap.

How old is he? 25 turning 26? Can you imagine him still playing at 33?
Papa Cloke played 18 seasons and retired at the age of 36 with 16 Brownlow votes in his last year at the Tigers - and I'm sure he's telling them that every meeting.
An old man getting some sympathy votes in a very poor team 20 years ago? Whats that worth at the table? Any team offering more than 5 need their heads read.

After today's effort so far he should play reserves until he either signs or leaves.

It's become fairly obvious that Clokes mates aren't his mates any more. The delivery is nothing short of treacherous and he seems like his heart isn't in it. It appears the wheel is turning and our once wide window for flags is closing.

at the very least this impasse shows Clokes mental fragility, if he decides to go what do we get for him?

I know my thinking on Cloke has swung dramatically. I wonder if the club is equally open to second thoughts?

As a club we should hold our ground and offer him what we have offered him. In reality he barely deserves it.
If he goes elsewhere, based on recent performances, frankly, they can have him and it would be kind of poetic to see him go elsewhere and basically deliver the same if not worse.
I mean HOW is he going to improve, short of a whole team treating him with kid gloves and giving him perfect delivery of the ball every time.
Lets bite the bullet and if the Cloke experiment is to be over, let it be over.
Our worst nightmare? A FOURTH Cloke brother.
