Great game by the boys in terrible conditions. I hadn't seen a game where the wind had such a huge effect on the q by q scores since the western oval was still used. Shocking umpiring as previously mentioned. I know we didn't score a goal in that first quarter but was happy with the middle section where we did everything but get on the scoreboard.
Jack did look a bit lost on the field, BJ & Tooves were poor, but apart from that i was really happy by the end of the match
I agree with Stuie about Cloke, think he has been right up there with the top CHFs and will be sorely missed if he goes for that elbow. Eddiesmith said it looked to him like shoulder contact - can anyone else confirm if it wasn't head high?
Post Match. Pies beat Port - all comments please

Why no disrespect? Because he has worked his guts out to make this side and despite his apparent lack of impact he still deserves respect after showing previously what he is capable of.mudlark wrote:Why no disrespect Big T??? Anthony is next to useless, makes BAD decisions and turned the ball over every time,4 times ?? he got it. No more chances for Jack. Fraser is a much better option and will give great motivation against the aints in his 200th.next week. And if Scott Pendelbury continues to put his team mates under pressure with stupid look away hospital passes in the backline and passes that miss the mark while commentators wet thier pants about his suppossed "silky skills" then St Kilda will give us a motha of a flogging.Big T wrote:What for? Really he has been not much better than a witches hat all year. No disrespect to Jack intended but lets face it, he aint setting the world on fire and he is not a key forward. Bring Fraser back while Cloke is out and see how he goes in the forward line.swoop42 wrote:^Yeah but if we lose Cloke Anthony would be needed IMO.
And he needs a longer stint in defense, where he belongs.

Got to see the replay although in grabs when I ought to have been asleep this morning (post night shift).
Cloke is gone - was my first reaction to watching it.
They did a boody good job after the mess of the first qtr.

Definately made contact with the head, one thing that may save him is contact with the shoulder first, they sometimes go easier on themthe ru is on fire wrote:Great game by the boys in terrible conditions. Bloody bad conditions,BUT the bioys stuck to their guns.
Even my Mrs said that seeing that they had the WIND in the final quarter that they should win.
Was a gutsy try by Port considering the circumstances,BUT the better team won on the day.
Bring on the 'Snaints'

On one hand ,he's a witches hat but on the other hand ha "Battles his guts out"??? I miss your point Big T? I get down to see a few games every year and this year I have seen the PIES play Geelong at the "G" ,the week after the Lions at the Gabba, last week the Eagles at Etihad and the live on TV Port game and to be perfectly honest,Jack should not havce played the last of those 2 games as he had NO impact at all,and he seems to have lost any clue as to being a team player ,he had from last year.Big T wrote:Why no disrespect? My feeling is he thought he had done enough to cement his spot last year and started acting like a Prima Donna ,while continually turning the ball over, while Dawes over took him and took his place.
Dawes had the sense to not think he was better than everyone and is now,and hopefully for a LONG time, the incumbent FF,and Jack has nowhere to play, except as a bit player and he has the shits about it and plays just like ,in your words Big T, a"WITCHES HAT",which is quite disrespectful in itself. Drop him, trade him and lets move on.
