It is shuffling decks on the titanic.

You can place Player X or Player Y in and it won't make a difference.

Until the coach and structures and coach change it won't matter.
I asked for onfield comments, not another chance for you too slag the coach <snip, cut the name-calling - bbmods>
Onfield structures are onfield matters.p

Player X or Player Y won't make a difference.

If you place them in a structure that is not AFL standard, they won't make a difference.

Bit of a let down after the last 3 weeks where the boys played some awesome footy.

The initial reaction from me was rage and THEN acceptance that we are finished. Our team s decimated X3 yet we ridicule them mercilessly ?? Thee are a couple of players who are not yet ready for AFL on a regular basis and need to be eased in rather than thrown in the deep end and I am just as guilty with my criticism of Frost ,who does try hard it has to be said, but sadly,I feel nothing.Just awaiting the pasting I will get on Facebook ,but you reap what you sow and am quite prepared for it.Time to start watching the Mighty Maroochydore Roos in the flesh. Crocker is a long term project.
Can't think of any other positives and I am really trying.
Oh yes, I thought Grundy tried hard.
Bit harsh on Cox. Thought he was pretty good considering.

How dangerous would he be in a side with a coach??
I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within.

I'm not sure he is finished as a "Footballer".I think someone will pick him up and hopefully we can get something for him,but finished as a Collingwood footballer seems assured.

Agree.
Cox is the only player I can get excited about.
But he really is a project player and not someone who will exlpode onto the scene.
Done well so far.
we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.

You can't really blame Cloke today.

The ball use was abhorrent.

He was also playing on 2 defenders.

The ball movement was appalling.

The structures didn't allow him to win his position.

Maybe next week we could see the return and addition of Williams ,Brown and Marsh,Cloke back to the McGoos and maybe, try Frost in the square?? Couldn't do any worse than Cloke.
Please no more Frost.Back to the reserves for him, surely?

I like Cox, but as I said before he has done well for a newbie but you can't build a team around Cox this or next year.
But I always say that a good team starts with a decent ruckman and I thought Grundy played well today.

I am not a member only a barracker living in NSW. I don't get close to people within the club. I only form my opinions from watching many games on 7mate and listening to ABC and SEN radio plus spending time following AFL on the AFL website.
I agree with those who say our weakness starts with coach Bucks. I think he is a good skills teacher, but he hasn't a AFL standard game plan. I don't think he talks right for the battlefield. He is too sophisticated for a fast and furious type of game....it takes too long for what he says to sink in. I also don't like how he bags the players effort all the time. To my observation, the players are not in-sync with the game plan. I suggest that this effort bagging is demoralising & demotivating.
If the players do not believe in the game plan, its very demanding physically to run your guts out back and forth for a perceived bad game plan. I also suspect that the players are divided, probably between old and new and more possibly involving Travis Cloke.
We need to play SMARTER....starting at the TOP....that means our Mr Buckley if he is up to it.

Don't worry, DW - I'm (reasonably) confident that Mudlark doesn't really want Frost at FF.
