Andrew Crisp actually made a request for 1000 ADF personnel for quarantine and it was rejected by either Neville or Andrews.

As for security companies, allegedly one of the companies isn’t even on the governments approved contractors list!

As for the cold, I pretty much live with cold symptoms all throughout every winter and was quite bad when the initial outbreak began in March. It’s only because of the travel I eventually reluctantly agreed to get tested.

Only hope the results come back before I leave, but ordering food on Uber Eats is far too damn expensive and it’s been 2 days!

one of juniors friends asked a fair question today, since this thing is so highly contagious, why do they have to ram the test thing so far up your snout? wouldnt it be everywhere?

My 21 year old daughter is currently awaiting her test results. Trying to be upbeat and positive but you try to tell a father not to worry!!

108: A man in his 70s has died in Victoria.

From The ABC blog:

Victoria has recorded another 273 cases of coronavirus in the state and one death, as the Government confirms prep to year 10 students in locked-down areas will return to home learning from July 20.

....

Mr Andrews said there were now 57 people in Victorian hospitals and 16 of those were in intensive care.

There are now 1,484 active cases in Victoria.

Mr Andrews said from July 20, prep to year 10 students in mainstream state schools in metropolitan Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire would return to remote learning until at least August 19.

Professor Sutton said reintroducing home learning was a difficult decision to make, but said the pandemic had not yet reached its peak and authorities were throwing "absolutely everything at it".

He said here were at least 145 cases linked to public housing towers in North Melbourne and Flemington which were locked down last weekend.

Twenty-two cases were linked to public housing in Carlton.

"The aim is to reach the posterior nasopharynx, a cavity in the airways which consists of muscle and connective tissue, covered in cells and mucous. This area - known as a mucous membrane - is one of the areas where the coronavirus lives and multiplies.
