He isn't demanding 1 million a year, he is happy with Collingwoods monetary offer but wants 5 years, others clubs want to give him a million plus but he knows better than to ask for that from Collingwood

They key issue is, he has never been highly consistent, but still kicked 70 goals last year, in the past Dawes or another forward has stood up when he has had an off day, that hasnt happened at all this year and its hurting the team as the opposition get away with triple teaming Cloke all day because there is no one else who can hurt them up forward if they stop Cloke

That midfield kicked 9 of our 13 goals Einstein. Perhaps we should play them all forward seeing the guys up there did bugger all.

So was that the 9 times they actually won the ball in the midfield? A team who loses the clearances by that much doesnt win games of football, but hey lets blame the tall forward for that

Cloke is having the very same issue all our tall forward - in fact all forwards are having. Our coach is allowing an extra defender to sit in the hole. Happened all day today. The loose guy double teamed whoever we kicked to every time. The thing that bothered me is they weren't leading when we had possession. They just want to wrestle their opponent rather than try to get some space on the lead. None of them worked hard enough & the game plan isn't helping them one bit.

You can spin it how you like Eddie. The mids didn't have their best games but compared to the forwards they were stars.

Do you actually watch the games or attend or just review how we played by stats? Stats do not show positional play of the ball and where and when or how the turn overs or lack of marks were taken. Feel free to make game play comments if you did watch the game, otherwise it might be advisable to allow those who did to make summation.

If you did see today and last weeks game and for that matter the last 6 games Cloke has played, you would understand why informed supporters are bewildered at the current form of a man who is demanding a 450k per year increase to 900,000 and why he thinks his performance is above those of his team mates.

And if its stats you love, how about this one. Dane swan 49 possessions versus Travis Cloke 1 goal 1 point. And Swan gets 700k per year. Why are you so blind and pig headed about this issue and keep defending a player who chose to negotiate in public his contract and has stated he doesn't care for his team mates job security. In the same team that he relies on getting the ball down to him to kick goals to win us games which he clearly is not doing at the moment.

Ordinarily I like to think everyone's opinion matters. But you sit here and try and change opposing views constantly and don't like it when you get the same in return.

Travis Cloke was hopeless today and I never thought I would say this, but if he was dropped from the senior side, I wouldn't exactly oppose the idea of it occurring. He had no presence up forward, he kept second-guessing himself and his body language in general is not up to scratch. Unlike some fans, I'm not going to call Travis a 'jerk' or any other names, but surely these contract negotiations he's going through at the moment are a real distraction at the moment for himself and the club. The demands he's asking for from the club is unreasonable and he is literally holding the club to ransom at the moment.

Oh, way short is LIFE .

Let's get it right, we lost due to our forward line not functioning. Their defenders were allowed to be 3rd man up too often and Cloke diid not get a fair run but if he wants that amount of money then he needs to work hard every game other see ya later. I don't care who you are, don't take more than you are worth and then destroy the fabric of the club.

We simply failed to keep pressure on a side that played the short kick too often then kicked into open spaces for others to run onto and goal.

the pies players didnt kick to cloke alot tiday (think about it)

the only goal cloke kicked was from the goal square (after a mark)

when you see cloke starting as half forward flank/forward pocket, that will say something.

Time for us, the members, to tell CFC that we would rather spend a decade in the wilderness than submit to David Cloke's blackmail.

I go to most games, except Saturday afternoon because despite some people living in the past and wanting all games then, its the worst time if people want to be involved in footy more than just watching it as then when all local footy is on

I don't try to change peoples opinions, I try to correct their incorrect assumptions. People going around claiming he wants a million a year from Collingwood couldn't be further from the truth, those claiming he is asking for exhorbitant money, couldnt be further from the truth

Yet the fact everyone is so willing to go out and publically attack a Collingwood player because he has the nerve to negotiate a contract is amazing. I didnt see the same hatred levelled at Daisy who waited untill the end of last season and was playing crap at times, doing stupid things.

Did Travis cop the same crap every other time his contract is up? He hasnt signed a contract any earlier than October in his entire career, why the rush this time? Seems fans want a scapegoat and with some being dropped they single out Clokey, all because they seem to have a massive hate of his father???

He never said he didnt care for his team mates, that was one amazing rewrite of history that went on after that interview. I didnt watch it untill a couple of days later having read all these terrible things he allegedly said and then at the end thought how the hell did people take away what they claimed he said? He said he expected everyone to stay, everyone would get their deals and its not up to someone else to worry about all the other contracts, thats the clubs problem, not his. But hey when everyone already hates someone they will make crap up

Its funny that the last 2 years this board has turned on anyone who does a Footy Show interview, amazing part is the club does have a salary cap and if a player wants more money, TFS is one way to get it. Yet people have turned on him ever since that day, starting to think its just because everyone hates the show. Bet if he said the exact same things on the Marngrook footy show he would still be loved...Then again no one would have seen it
