doesnt it feel like a lot of our foirward entries break down primarily because Stevo isnt there?
I will tell you, Thomas has stopped doing freaky things, and Stevo is out and so all of the manufactured goals we got earlier in the year are simply gone....
i believe this was hiding the fact that we don't have a key forward of any elite level - compare to Kennedy, Lynch and Cameron!

K, you and I both get it but in their world, they just don’t see it that way.
It’s the “ look at me “ and the “ how many likes “ generation.
Sometimes we need to move on from proclaiming what we would do and just accept that they do things differently, whether we like it or not.
“ Not even modern science can put a wise head on young shoulders “
Jake Stringer on gambling, etc.:
'When quizzed about what advice he'd give a younger version of himself, Stringer revealed that staying off social media had helped his mental health.
"I wouldn't go back and change too much, but it'd probably just be to listen to your parents and all the good advice they gave you," he said.
"I haven't been on social media for the last year and a half and it's helped me unbelievably mentally.
"That's probably the one thing I'd say: stay away from social media and you'll be a happier person."'

Can the club invite David Schwartz to give a talk to the players? He’d be up for it too. But you’d think with our history, and Sier most recently, oh and the Beams rumours, would be enough education.

I completely get where you’re coming from but Schwartz shouldn’t be needed with all the education they are given.
I have seen the presentations at TAC level and I have been “ kept up to speed “ with the education on offer at an AFL level.
The education couldn’t be anymore comprehensive or unambiguous ( or more repetitive ) than what it is. Gambling, drugs, alcohol, solicitation, entrapment, and social media presentations are all on regular loop with clubs.
At the end of the day “ you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink “
In fact, if people were more aware of the education on offer, I guarantee some on here would be less sympathetic.
It is what it is and if his harsh lesson prevents him from becoming a gambling addict, then it’s a good outcome for him and Collingwood.

There should be software solutions the clubs or AFL can force the players to put on their phones.

We need to invoke the "NO DICK HEAD" policy

Reckon we’d have won the 2010 flag with no Swan, Didak, Shaw, Johnson, etc.? I didn’t think so either.

David, what are you calling those fine gentlemen?
(On the Swans slogan, it's all baloney and propaganda. They had no problem finding space in their teams for Barry H. and N. Davis, etc. Well, eventually Roos got sick of Davis, but only after he won them a premiership.)

up until his suspension
- W-L record when he scored a goal = 8-1
- W-L record when he did not score a goal = 1-2
There's a trend here. Cannot underestimate his loss.

And how do the stats look since his suspension?

It’s an interesting set of numbers. There’s no doubt we’re a better team with him in it and that’s why he will come straight back in.
Since his absence , the only game we lost where he could have made the difference, was Hawthorn. Very likely him being out cost us that night ( albeit he still has to sit out four more )
No point looking back, let’s hope he proves to be the difference going forward.

Good luck to Stevo playing VFL on Saturday.
Added bonus of a game under his belt before finals.
Go Pies!!

Adding to that -
Since then we've gone 5-4 (From 9-3 to 14-7 since suspension)
- 9-1 when he kicks a goal
- 5-6 when he doesn't
Desperately need him!

Great news but I must admit the first thought that entered my mind upon hearing it was "s**t, just a further opportunity to get injured 2 weeks before finals".
It's how we've become conditioned as Collingwood supporters I guess.

Playing is going to be a different experience for Stephenson than it has been until now. He will face a real test of character in learning to cope with the open ridicule and abuse he will receive from the fence line (and perhaps not just from opposition supporters but from some aggrieved Pies supporters too). Boundary line sledging in relation to his betting violations will be harsh and he will need mental toughness to get through it. And it probably won't ebb until next season.
