Daics was like that and if you look at Leon he does it too!!! I'll never forget Daics playing in the midfield "walking or dancing through 4-5 opponents" with them not being able to lay a finger on him..........
Go Pendles!!!!
Some players just have that ability to always look like they are merely trotting along when they are actually very quick. Examples: Shane Moorwood, James Hird, Michael Tuck, Pendlebury. Puts him in pretty good company!
PS: Chris Egan is another one. Remains to be seen if he is in the same class as those mentioned, however. You see this in other sports too: Ivan Lendil (sp?) comes to mind.
Yeah, i was thinking at the time he was bouncing it metres in front of an opponent hot on his heels...."KICK IT! STOP TORTURING ME!"...and it was one of those things where he probably would have been crucified by some of he stuffed it up...but thats the thing, he doesnt stuff up.
And whats better, is he KNOWS he wont stuff up. Has complete confidence in his ability, and knows exactly what he can and can't do.
For those of us who have played basketball all our lives will recognise the skill in Pendles. He has that knack to be able to arch the back, take off, and bounce at the same time. It is just what you do in BB, it's like you use the ball to get yourself out of trouble. Hard to explain. But I can see it each time Pendles takes off from an op player and has a bounce.

Bumping this up so we can talk about something positive for a change.
Some of the 1%'ers this kid did last night were brilliant. A couple of steals, the bounce and take off, and just this pure football brain is enough to get any hot blooded pie fan excited.
In my opinion Pendles is the Bucks replacement we've all been waiting for. Super skills, tough, and after his display last night (against Tarrant), willing to lead the way. He also has a healthy level of self-confidence.
Can't wait for Buckley's return in weeks to come to see both in full flight in the same team.
