I don't know why MM would be against getting Fev.
It was only a couple of seasons ago that Fev killed us with a BOG performance. MM went into the press conference saying that he could have put Superman, Batman, Spiderman on Fev that day and still we couldn't have stopped him.....
Hard to forget a performance like that. The tool has it in him.

If we do get Fev, maybe a big rethink on our boundary line gameplan is in order, as i dont think hugging the boundary line would suit his style. Straight up the guts, and pump it to Fev, Ja, and cloke.

Well with us now going after Jolly with pick 14, it would appear that we will only offer Carlton players in exchange for Fev.

We'll pick up another first rounder in a trade methinks and ontrade it for Fev.
Mick tops up before cracks at a premiership, the window is being flung open. He's got two years and he knows it.

He'll make a great full forward in the VFL side. Bing on Dawes!

It needn't be a first round pick though. For instance, Collingwood could theoretically offer to take over 50% of the contract and throw in one of Reid or Brown. Or even better, take on all payments and add Cook and Cox.
The longer into next week it goes, the more desperate Carlton will become.
Still think Sydney is the best fit and I wouldn't be taking too much notice of what Roos said about them being out of the race. He's perfect for them.

Hows about a forward line of JA, Dawes, Fev, with Cloke further up the ground, causing havoc on the wing, take the pressure off him re his erratic goalkicking. He is a great mark, and the wing could redefine him.

FEV: "I'd like to apologise to my family, friends and the Collingwood Football club. I know I've let everybody down and truly sorry and embarrassed for my actions. How did I know she was only 13?, I don't see so well when I've had a few and its the barman's fault - he kept on serving me afte all. And how did I know she was Hiss's daughter? It wont happen again, im changing, cross my heart and hope to die...
Eddie: (Thinks): Why did we bloody sign him for two years...I wish we kept Chris Dawes now...
Mick: (Thinks) Effen Eddie, I never wanted him in the first place....

This is what great clubs do. They build a sense of integrity and decency that they consider more valuable than winning. Invariably success is nourished in such environments.
after last year's late season 'fiasco' are we there yet on the culture front? i firmly believe that getting the culture right sets the foundations for success. for a moment, forget about strategies, forget abut roles, get the right people who will build, deliver and maintain the right culture and you're 3/4 the way there.

I'm not convinced.
