Fantastic work as usual MagpieBat. Well done. It's always enjoyable to see the Carlscum fans wallowing in miseryMagpieBat wrote:... and, just as promised, for old times sake...
The walker milne show was the only good thing about this gameCue the Benny Hill music...Seems fitting that it ended this way. All the things that have caused angst for Ratts and supporters appeared in two hours. Almost like a highlight-reel of ineptitude and bad luck.
Bad luck? Missing goals inside 30 is bad luck?Ha, wit! Love it!St Kilda. Ecstatic with 9th.
Good luck to whoever coaches those bunch of softcocks next year
Simply soft no ticker no heart and no brains
Ratts count yourself lucky because this group will continue to disappointJust another uncontrolled game.
We have no idea how to play.
Thank !@#$%& Ratts is gone.....
...
This time i almost downed a bottle of petit verdot alone......
Comfortably numb.
We have no idea.. and our good players cant come to the fore to lead.
StKilda very happy with themselves......In ascending order of interest, from least to most interesting:
We played, and lost.
Milne was a turd, as usual.
Our new coach hates Milne as much as we do.
Kernahan called Ken Wood a Nazi during the President's speech.
Apparently Ratten told Coutts to go and get #$@%ed... something the club should do as well.
The new boys who came in did some pretty good things, good to see them finally in the navy blue.
The season that went absolutely off the rails during the Port Adelaide debacle is finally over, and we need to suffer 2012 no more.Ah, not as much poison, more like resignation. The crowd and the players were waiting for Rats to come onto the ground to give him a send off. Rats decided to head to the rooms the back way which left the players and crowd what the flower was going on - actually, very much like his coaching career at Carlton.
How many games do we have to lose because we can't kick straight, FFS how long does this have to go for before somebody actually does anything. Flowering frustrating as hell
But it's still funny as!!!
I can't wait for next year when we see more of the same

Once again, I find myself having to apologise to Carlton FC. Because again, I have forgotten another 10 year anniversary.
Carlton, this time I REALLY am sorry.
It's been 10 years and 6 days... since THIS was done to you:

And again, I didn't know what to get you as an anniversary present, so I thought you would appreciate a few more of these:
Happy (belated) Anniversary, Carlton FC, you bunch of f-ckin' cheats!

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/a ... 2adbk.htmlWhen then AFL chairman, Ron Evans, and then chief executive, Wayne Jackson, flanked by then football operations chief, Andrew Demetriou, announced at an early morning media conference that the Blues were to be fined almost $1 million lose the first two picks for the national draft less than 48 hours later, everyone was gobsmacked.
The fine was unprecedented and aside from dealing with the financial implications, Carlton also had to come to terms with the painful reality that the best two young footballers in the land, namely Brendon Goddard and Daniel Wells, had just slipped from their grasp. For days and months to come Blues supporters would react with venom.
After a commission hearing that lasted more than seven hours, Jackson said the Blues had been found guilty of "a complex and deliberate scheme designed and implemented to hide payments and deceive the AFL". That fact was already known but few observers genuinely thought the league would come down so heavily on the team.
And again, I didn't know what to get you as an anniversary present, so I thought you would appreciate a few more of these:

Does Visy make brown paper bags as well as boxes ??
Just asking --- maybe I should be asking Chris Judd .
Maybe they should have brown paper bags to keep their premiership cups in ?
I sincerely hope carlton are as successful in 2013 as they were in 2012 - just win enough games to get their hopes up & then miss out on the finals .

I felt that MagpieBat's comments in the Judd thread deserved to be included in this thread. If you missed his comments, well here they are summing up Carlscum at its finest.
May never play in one for them, either.
So, let's take score:
- Finish 10th after "winning" the premiership in round 3
- Lose their coach
- Pay big money for a new coach
- Try to steal Cloke, but fail
- Put out the feelers for Tippett, but get snubbed
- Try to woo Lynch, and are told where to go
- Seek out Gumbleton, but go nowhere
- Find out that the salary cap realy does exist after all, so they can't take part in free agency and trade week
- Best and Fairest winner's lenient penalty for assault challenged by the DPP, so paltry it was
- AFL goes beserk over the insanely weak club suspension Carlton gives said B&F winner
- Get pulled into line by the AFL over the VI$Y rort
- Land a top 10 player (by accident) in the draft who has had LARS surgery at 16
- LOSE a top 10 pick player for a rubbish "pack of chips" draft pick in return
- Post a 6-figure financial loss (again),
- Have to suffer in the knowledge that the sanctions given to Adelaide are mild in comparison to what they had to take (Happy 10 year anniversary, again, by the way!)
- Rejected by Reimers who refused an offer to train with them in favor of playing in the WAFL in 2013; AND
- Their captain resigns from office
Not a good off-season for the boys in old dark navy blue, is it?
