I hope everyone had a great Christmas Day, mine was.
Quiet one with the daughter, her partner and the Grandson, but really nice and relaxing.
Had to drive so took a 6 pack of zero alcohol beer and had 1 glass of wine with lunch. Roast lunch, ham and chicken with some prawns. Grandson had a melt down at the sight of the prawns, told the girls that next time he's naughty make him sit in the corner and put a Prawn a few feet away to watch him and he won't move a muscle.
Kid has settled down so much being with the girls, they're great with him. After pudding he wanted to get on the Xbox with me so we played some Lego Marvel thing I didn't understand for a while (I've never played an Xbox before, just Playstation) and after a bit of convincing we had a go at Crash Team racing. He beat me the first 2 out of 4 while I got used to it, then I won the 3rd and he cracked the sooks big time. After tash and I got into him about sooking, he manned up and played the 4th race, which I won. This time I offered my hand and he shook it and I said well done, 2 wins each and he was happy.
First Christmas I can remember that I didn't spend half of Christmas Eve and all morning frantically prepping. I could get used to that

Cheers Jo x 3.
Went to Knifeland this morning, quick Boxing Day sales shop. Picked up 3 new work shirts at 50% off. That gives me now about 6 that fit me that I can wear into the office and the rest are 2 sizes too big and reserved for Video meetings when working from home. Also picked up a handheld percussive massager same as what the Chiro has for $50 and Bruce Springsteens Greatest hits on Vinyl.
What struck me walking around was the lack of compliance with mask wearing, both from shoppers and staff.
Around 50% were wearing masks properly.
Of the rest, most had their nose poking out, fair number had them as chin straps and a decent number were totally unmasked. I was wearing my mask that is made to look like I'm wearing a surgical mask under my nose. I got a few dirty looks all from people who were actually wearing their mask under their nose, but a lot of love from retail staff.
As I'm leaving, got a call from the daughter. Her, the grandson and my son plus some extras were all at my house, where was I?
Well FMD if any of you bothered to tell me you were coming, I would have been home
Spent close to an hour in the park with them all, staying back and just watching the Grandson play with his Dad and getting his mostly undivided attention when he wasn't fielding messages from the Fat Controller.
Good day, lawns mowed, bag packed ready to head to Toc tomorrow, Poms are shit at Cricket. What's not to like.

Typo,
Anyway, apart from The Ashes, loving being back in Toc. Beautiful sunny weather, i feel relaxed but energised at the same time.
High 20s on Monday, low 30s yesterday and today, high 30s for the rest of the week then a cool change and down to 35 next Tuesday .
Lawns all done, gave the old outhouse door a fresh coat of red paint and picked up some sandpaper to clean up the outdoor table and seat i made from timber from the old shed i ripped down. Big thick beams of hardwood, bit of 40 grit and some oil, should come up a treat
Have to see if i can sneak in 9 holes of whack-fvck while I'm here

I can’t remember the last time I slept past 9am! Went home for 2 nights on Friday, and left the dogs with junior, just me and hubby here, went to the Drysdale pub for dinner with friends, came home and watched double jeopardy with Tommy Lee jones, judd steals the show, she’s brilliant. With no dogs stealing the blankets or farting in my face I slept til 9.30, woke up to find hubby has nearly finished shovelling the sand onto the artificial turf, he will be off soon to hire the power brush to finish it, and the front yard is all finished!
I walked 6klm with my camera yesterday, I had dragonflies posing for me! Life actually feels quite normal for a change! Hmm coffee and a nana nap! Nah, I guess I should do something. Maybe!
