Is anybody playing well?

Melbourne 'boys' have worked out the Pies 'men'. Fast transfer of play, make use of every opportunity. Pies forward line the usual liquorice all sorts. We laid 1 tackle inside our F50 for that quarter.

Now we have a very interesting second half. The Demons have nothing to lose. We have everything to lose. Love it. Time to stand up.
Or fall flat on our face...which we do well, it is as simple as flooding us, good teams cream us with this tactic....very average teams(Melbourne) are kept competitive....

No team with this glaring a weakness will ever be a serious threat....

Very disappointed with Jolly this year.
But is it him or the way he is being played?
I thought we recruited him as a ruckman, yet he lines up at FF?
The goal that Jmar set up, ch10 highlighted him contesting with Jmar a throw in on our 50, yet Jolly was not with him on their 50. But rewind slightly and you will hear the comms saying that Jolly came up from FF to contest that throw in. So was Jolly in ruck and should have followed Jmar, or was he still at FF and the other ruckman (Fraz I assume) should have followed Jmar?
Only the coach knows.

Dale, Pendles and Swan only player to turn up. The absence of Didak's class is telling. We are an ordinary team without his smarts. Toovey and Macaffer are the two most fumbly players I've ever seen. Reason why I hate Queen's Birthday games. We go through the motions and let Melb have their 'day'. Oh, and Malthouse...enough of this freakin' zone shit. More and more Pagan's Paddock goals get kicked on us every week. Hand the cup to Geelong tonight.

This year we haven't been able to absorb pressure and then run away. We kick bigs scores and then retreat as sides get run ons.
Our losses are characterised by low scores and inability to convert.
Hmm.........otherwise known as Front Runners.

We are in our slump for the year, the big question is will we get out of it fast enough.

Our half backline, normally our strength, is really woeful at the moment and our forward line has really no structure.

These 2 things changing will bring us back into contention.

This shambles of a foward line is really starting to give me the shits.
One goal in the 2nd quarter against this shitbag team. F*uck me drunk.
Davis and Medhurst are the two biggest overpaid, unaccountable bludgers i have seen in all my years watching this club. Fraser and Lockyer playing for their spots on the list today.
Get Rusling back in there, at least he can mark.

I have no doubt we'll ge over-run in the next half. None whatsoever.

We need this game, its perfect for us to snap out of the doldrems.

I thought we might start flat after the Bulldogs scared the hell out of us last week, but we started like a house on fire. Second quarter we just couldnt get into it. That happens.

Loving this game, will be very telling.

#$@%

shift Shaw to HF, Leon onto the ball, Medhurst to FF and stop bombing the F out of the ball into the forward line

we are on target for a loss
Get back on top.

13 players with less than 10 possessions.

Lockyer 12 possies 3 tackles v Barham 5 possies 3 tackles

Brown 5 possies, Medhurst, Davis, Dick 4 each (dickies 2 goals)

Either we improve or we have to get real about Dawes at FF each week and a chance for some of our younger players.

Given we normally need to be at least 4 goals ahead early in the 3rd to win, I would say you are correct.

But I will tip the Pies by 37.

Can we continue to play:

1. Medhurst and Davis in the same team
2. Fraser and Brown in the same team.

We will find out.

Maxwell apparently injured.
