Beams will come in for Maxwell. Buckley will go into the backline, and Beams is well suited to a role on the wing.

Yes, we are going into this with some light-bodied players, but that's OK. We are a stronger, more physical side than we were a couple of years ago - look at the extra strength a couple of years has added to the likes of Heater, Harry, and Daisy - and Mick is aiming to run the Pussies off their feet in the last.

The weather may help their lack of foot speed. It will certainly help their tall defenders.

Having two defenders listed as emergencies is a clear indication that Maxwell will not play IMO.

Mick loves his last minute changes and there will be at least one, and I assume it would be bringing Beams in as he was decent (still in our bottom couple, but that doesn't mean much with our list :P) before being omitted, and Beams was our best in the game we lost to Geelong last year by a mile.

This game is set to be a lot like our second game against them last year, where we managed to pull away in the fourth to win comfortably.

If we win though, it will be the ultimate indication that we have 30 players more than capable of playing elite footy, against a team that has been dominant over previous years, and will spell the end of the Season for almost every club.

Spot on.

I'd still like to see Beams in our forward line though. A much better option at this stage than the light bodied Dick.

cant understand why Beams is not in. Must be a reason or injury they are keeping quiet as I thought his form was ok and getting better.

:D No matter who comes in for those last two spots or" Maxi's spot" and who goes out. I'm looking at the main stayers if it's wet a lot of our players are good in the wet. Daisy heads the group Travis still takes big marks and the skills of Dicky and Krak wont diminish. We could be a hard body short if Beams or the Sack don't come but I am not so worried. It will be a close game but i get the feeling the boys will be up for this game. Swanny and Dids for best on ground!!
