^ Look, I'm not saying you're wrong about the first part. Maybe we can just agree that all left-wing people, right-wing people and pet owners are terrible and leave it at that.

Theres some interesting research being undertaken into the relationship between native animal scat and the health of native forests. Apparently the funguses promote tree growth.

By coincidence next weekend Im going to stay in a woodland forest where 28,000 hectares have been fenced with feral animal proof fencing and there are a great variety of marsupials and birds. I can imagine this fencing is very expensive to establish and maintain.

Cat control varies across local government and where I live has no regulation other than registration.

i would never own a cat because of how destructive they are. I hope they are better controlled in the future, along with other feral species. It seems that if we want to enjoy our forests and the benefit to the atmosphere they will have to be, no matter what the pet food industry throws at it

Cat lovers "provoked" into becoming genocidal and murderous? What an intriguing idea...

I know a few personally and all I can say is, denigrate cats in their presence at your own risk!

I'm more into rats, personally, so I feel a little like a neutral party in this war (though I greatly prefer cats to dogs).
